Update to previous review - much better now

posted by Seth_Berlin on 04/06/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
For unknown reasons, it stopped flickering after some weeks. Power consumption dropped dramatically also. Right now, it´s an ok light. I fell asleep several times with the light switched on and woke up with the HX-G011 still running brightly - very g...
    Cons:
Threads are still too fine - takes some time to mount the tailcap w/o cross-threading

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - slightly better fit than sku.9003 - extra-thin were the SE-logo´s are - cutout for display is slightly better manufactured compared to sku.9003
    Cons:
    - the grooves / molded-in structures that help in retention on sku.9003 are missing here - Silicone is more slippery compared...

    Very nice

posted by Seth_Berlin on 11/13/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - Perfect fit - K770 is useable like without the silicone case, everything works and is accessible, even the lens cover - very good grip, some molded-in structures give even better retention - K770 stays a *slim* phone even with this silicone case
    Cons:
    - ok, this is nitpicking: the cutout for the display is not exactly rectangular - I have no clue why the bottom ( where the mic...

    Different versions, different conclusions

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
My Powerlight ( without markings ) has a nice finish. The reverse clicky is nice and firm, has a "quality" feel. Anodizing is ok or better. Threads look ugly, but work ok.
    Cons:
Dim. I guess this is an "0.5 Watt Led " from 2 or 3 years ago. Blueish tint. Crazy power-consumption, sucks a 2500mAh...

    Throw and nice quality

posted by Seth_Berlin on 10/15/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - excellent build quality, flawless finish. In fact, this light feels a lot like flashlights 5 or 6 times the price. - o-rings do their job - forward clicky switch feels solid - very smooth, solid threads, work fine even without lube. - lots of ...
    Cons:
    - Smooth reflector instead of OP - no problem for me, in fact I prefer throw over beam uniformity - lots of nasty rings in t...
