    Shinier finish CR123A eater

posted by Srippa on 11/25/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good grip. Well placed o-rings. Endured some rain without problem, didn't test it under a sink or underwater though! Since it runs on a LED, doesn't burn filaments as easily as your typical flashlight.
    Cons:
Battery could last a bit longer, not exactly short lived, but around 30min-1hour. Gets hot during extended usage but not as hot...

Much better than some bigger more expensive models

    Pros:
Great design, easy to wield and point it at anything you might need. Switched gas flow so you don't need to keep pressing the button for continuous use. Has a small retractable foot that can be used not to burn the surface you're setting it on.
    Cons:
Takes a few presses of the button to get ignited, like most lighters. Small gas capacity.

    Cheap solution for charging CR123A's

posted by Srippa on 11/25/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Being Bi-volt is very nice especially if you travel a lot in places where AC power isn't standardized like Brazil. Very small so you can fit it almost anywhere on your bags. Durable, charged more than 100 cells for me thus far.
    Cons:
Doesn't have and extremely firm grip on the cell so sometimes if you put the cell into it before plugging into the wall, the ce...

Good pricing for an UV flashlight

posted by Srippa on 11/25/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Sturdy build, very well sealed. Very bright when using fully charged batteries. Appears to be at least partially real UV as it makes UV reactive paints and resins glow.
    Cons:
Wouldn't agree with the rechargeable AAA's I also got from DX, brightness would be very low and last for only 10 min or so. Jur...

If you're more worried about looks than sound quality

posted by Srippa on 11/25/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Decent sound quality, looks nicer than other earbuds sold here. Comes with a few replacement rubber caps in various sizes. Very good noise insulation, you can use them as earplugs if you're not interested in listening to any music.
    Cons:
Size was a bit too big, wouldn't enter my ear canal properly so it fell out a lot. Sound quality not as good as a few cheaper o...

For this price range I wouldn't ask for more

    Pros:
Great bass, sound quality is good enough for the price. Rounded shape makes a great fit in my ear. Comes with various sized rubber points incase you need a different size.
    Cons:
Durability wasn't the best, one of the earphones died 2 months after purchase then came back a month later and finally died for...

    Cheaper than non-rechargeables

posted by Srippa on 11/25/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
75% cheaper than NON-RECHARGEABLE Li-Ion batterys over here. Its better to buy these even though they are unprotected than non-rechargeables. Usually came charged at 3.9-4.2 volts.
    Cons:
Need to be careful with overdischarge, since they are not protected sometimes you forget about it and when you see it, voltage ...

Good audio quality, decent battery life

posted by Srippa on 11/24/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Fits in most shirt pockets and is very light, so it's easy to be concealed if that's your idea. Voice recording has very clear quality even from a little far, 192 Kbps recording keeps the quality up. Even at 192Kbps still can record a month worth of voice ...
    Cons:
External speaker eats a lot of battery, barely lasts an hour using it. Connection between the main part and the mics seems a bi...

    For quick jobs

posted by Srippa on 11/22/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The locking mechanism is very good if you want to work for extended periods of time. And it comes with a base for that as well.
    Cons:
Working for extended periods, while a pro, is also what causes most of the cons. A piece near the nozzle that controls air flow...
