    Just what I wanted

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very precise, solidly built, quite light, high torque, fast, long lead.
    Cons:
There is a tiny bit of slop in the gears: with the longest horn on this equates to 0.5mm movement. The lead is a little heavy...

Cheap, app. 25 steps per direction, good gears

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Compared to the 5gm tower pro servos from hobby king, these are much smaller, but with better gears They would weigh close to 3.7g without the servo lead... No buzzing or gittering.
    Cons:
The driver board is less sophisticated than the tower pro board, and has less steps per side travel. centering is not great. N...

    pretty O.K

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This battery has a well made case: it looks good, though not as slick as the original apple battery. It fit my 12" ibook G4 and has worked perfectly so far
    Cons:
The capacity seems a little lower than the standard battery: I need to time it, but I would be running out of steam after 1 1/2...

    a touch cheesy, but works

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It works! Two channel, 1A / channel charger for 18650 cells. -Fairly compact Easy to disassemble to check the insides. Seems to have a fairly complex charging circuit.
    Cons:
A bit pricey for the build quality. On the outside, it looks nice. On the inside, the pcb is poorly soldered. Mine had a huge s...

    re-work recommended, but pretty good!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
All the good bits are there, and it is very well machined. The reflecter has a great pattern: quite a soft hotspot and great fill- and on high, well, if it does not have enough throw for you, you must be going blind.
    Cons:
Er... crappy strobe and S.O.S? Who thought of that one? I bought 4 of these, and only one had the LED screwed to the torch pro...

    looks good

posted by Techish on 05/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Mine seems great. I worried about the comment about the bearings being the wrong size, but mine is perfect. On 10 NiMH cells it is easily seeing over 30Krpm. So the 3Kv seems about spot on. mine is as smooth as silk at no load.
    Cons:
I looked in the endbell, and found there are epoxy blobs between the magnets, which no doubt are causing some form of imbalance.

    Pros:
O.K: it works! I got this to use as a brushless controller for a diy project: i wanted OVERKILL (probably 25A was going to do the job) and as this was cheap, and possibly close to 50A I got it. The BEC being separate to the main board was also appealing as ...
    Cons:
I don`t like the yellow colour...Gee, life is tuff.
