In expensive in and out but it does its job

posted by TexasGuy on 03/24/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Wanted a backup business card holder for special occasions. Thought this would do the trick. It looks rather nice on the pictures, not the best but it does look better on the pictures than in hand.
    Cons:
Very cheap looking if not quickly flashed and remove from the view. Very basic and cheap.

OK overall but signal is weak for some application

posted by TexasGuy on 03/24/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Nice box it comes in. It can do 3 things: 1. The wand detects any high voltage around about up to 3 feet away, awesome for finding power wires in the wall. 2. Generates radio over wires and you can trace it 3. Shows if your Ethernet cable is correctly ...
    Cons:
Radio signal is kind of week. Turning the reception wheel to the max but the wire cannot be traced through the walls. Probably ...

For a project - wireless audio for HTPC

posted by TexasGuy on 03/09/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Got for a project for my little HTPC. Bluetooth audio is something I am fascinated with. This is cheap enough for me to play with and build that custom solution I cannot find for sale.
    Cons:
Not that many, range is about 20-25 feet. Battery is good for 2-2.5 hours in my experience. Wish these values would be bigger.

    It does its job painlessly

posted by TexasGuy on 01/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It does its job without a pain. Put in my own AA battery and was cutting my nose hair in minutes. No pain what so ever, I never used them and was expected some... Anyway, it sharply cuts what it meets.
    Cons:
No battery was included. With curly hair in the nose it takes a long time to hunt them down and cut. It is just you have to cha...

    Good quality, big

posted by TexasGuy on 01/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is a really nice toy. I am not a kid but I just liked the ad picture, nice face expression! Well, I thought that a few bucks to the wind, I'll buy one. Most purchases here are spontaneous and not about necessity. It had arrived and I took it out. Well...
    Cons:
Nothing to say negative, it is just a toy. For sure it is not a swallowing hazard.

    Two flame jets is overkill

posted by TexasGuy on 12/20/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Wanted to get most hot baddest jet flame lighter out there... Got this. It does its job but 2 jets don't make it better than a single jet.
    Cons:
    1. Hard to fuel, for some reason there is a bad connection and butane often spills out. 2. Hard to adjust the flame. Goes from ...
