Great little flashlight for the nightstand!

posted by TxCharlie on 01/04/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Compact (easily fits in a shirt pocket), attractive, very bright, single 18650 3.7v rechargable cell, withstands abuse and dropping, glow-in-the-dark switch cap, brightness seems to be fairly well regulated.
    Cons:
    None I can think of.

Great charger, enlarged for protected 18650's

posted by TxCharlie on 04/08/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Spring loaded contacts for different length batteries. My old charger of the same type didn't fit longer brands of protected cells, but this one does. Clear independent charge indication. Can charge one battery or two.
    Cons:
My old charrgef broke because I let the spring loaded terminals slam.too hard when I removed batteries, which broke the plastic...

    Surprisingly Bright, Well-Made Light!

posted by TxCharlie on 03/26/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very good build quality it seems - Excellent heat sink to prevent the LED from oveheating, Blows my Magliht out of the water and rips it to shreads. The memory works well - Everytime I turn it on, it gies ack to the mode I had it on last. I REALLY like tha...
    Cons:
No cons at all, so far - more heavy than a tactical light, but for the power I'll take it! I always carry a couple of spare ta...

Powerful Laser - Burns But Needs Focusing

posted by TxCharlie on 12/12/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Laser causes paper to smolder (especially black paper) and lights matches. Build quality is very good, solid aluminum. The tail switch seems to be very reliable, unlike some flashlights I have. The focus ring has an o-ring so it will stay where you set it...
    Cons:
The power isn't quite what it could be if it could be focused to a smaller dot. However, it would then be much more dangerous, ...

So strong, the Earth's magnetic field affects them

posted by TxCharlie on 06/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
These little magnets are POWERFUL - Be careful, they will pinch your fingers. For a real interesting experiment, try rolling them different ways - you'll discover that they only have one direction that they like to roll, because they are attracted strongly...
    Cons:
Don't let them clank together, because as others have mentioned, they break easily. They will also pinch a finger if you let th...

    Pros:
This little tool set has just about every strange little screw head I've ever run into - Flat blade, Phillips, Torx, Star, some hex nut drivers, and several shapes I've never seen before. Includes a well-designed handle with a palm rotator, extension, and f...

    Slim and Bright!

posted by TxCharlie on 06/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This little laser/flashlight packs a whallop but is only about the diameter of a cigarette. The body is all-metal construction, including the two pushbutton switches. The laser dot is well-focused across the room. Keychain appears to be fine too.
    Cons:
I've found that when I screw on the battery lid, only the the last couple of threads catch. Therefore, you have to make sure yo...

    Pros:
Bright, two alternately flashing red LED's and easy-to access switch. Small phillips screws to change batteries. Secure clip for dog collar.
    Cons:
The LED's are only pointed one direction (front), and red only. Not sure about battery life - Order spares here, because Wal-M...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    bright enough for warning sight
    Cons:
