    Great deal!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright. Batteries easy to find, cheap at DX, & last a long time considering how bright they are.
    Cons:
Only 4 out of the 60 I've bought over the years were a little dim because of a weak battery. The switch on 3 out of 60 were dif...

    Very, dim light

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Clip seems strong. Covered functional reflector houses a very tiny LED. Opens at both ends, which is good because the treads are rough, & one can easily strip them. Easier & better to open the front to replace the battery... just beware the front spring...
    Cons:
It's the dimmest LED light I ever saw (and I've seen many). Even the cheap "squeeze" LED keychain lights are brighter. I have a...

    0.5 watt or less light

posted by VJJohn on 10/12/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Incredibly cheap light. Whiter than most cheap lights. Clip is strong. Just as bright as a Fenix E01 AAA light using a 1.2 volt 900mah rechargeable cell in them. It appears brighter than the Fenix at first glance (but isn't) because the light it a little w...
    Cons:
It's bulky for an AAA light. About the size as many single AA lights. Twist on/off is too loose. Will turn on or unscrew off in...

Just what I expected for under $5

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is a very small lantern, for a 3-AA lantern. It uses dim, cheap, or early generation light blue LEDs... which is why it don't cost much. Batteries should last long in it, because it's not powerful. Construction is fair for this price. Unlike many, &...
    Cons:
It is dim, & light blue, but a brighter than any nightlight. You won't be able to read by it, unless you set it right besid...

Brightest single 1.2 volt cell light

posted by VJJohn on 10/12/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a little brighter than any AAA single cell Fenix light when running them on a standard 900mah 1.2 volt rechargeable AAA cell. Comparing it to my Terralux 2-AA cell light, rated at 220 lumens, but really only around 170-180 lumens, I'd have to say ...
    Cons:
Took weeks for them to get my order from the supplier, & ship it. So my light arrived exactly a month after ordering it. Previo...

Not even half as bright as advertised

posted by VJJohn on 03/13/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Light is very bright. It is now the brightest light I own but mot by much. The beam is floodier rather than tight, so you will not light up clouds with it. It a relatively white beam rather than a slight tint. Although not as heavy as a maglite, you can hur...
    Cons:
This light is bright & white, but is NOT anywhere near 900 lumens. Side by side with my Terralux 2xAA led flashlight (rated at ...
