    Ok for the money

posted by VK2HRO on 12/10/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Works with my Puxing radios. So if you have a puxing, save some money and buy one but check below first. Much better audio quality than the crap mic's inside these radios.
    Cons:
The switch in my mic required a lot of pressure to actuate. In reality, during manufacture, a bit of plastic had not been remov...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Rated this one a 5/5 - its a great torch and works with my 18650 batteries. Beam is damn powerful on full power - using it to light up a PC's innards, its too bright. Soft mode is better. The strobe function is very attention getting, and pulses the torch a...
    Cons:
I cannot see any except the threads are a bit difficult to get together after you put in a battery. Wont tail stand unless you ...

Tiny and fits on a keychain - be careful not to loose it. Mine lives near my computer now - see below. Otherwise, perfect for my neats. Much quicker than transferring files with the card in my nokia which is SLOOOOW
    Cons:
On my keychain the metal clip broke - making it much easier to loose coz its so damn small

    Pros:
Handy little gizmo - especially good at public places like pubs and coffee shops - you can stir up the staff by making the TV change channels, go mute or turning off. For the price, its a no brainer - go buy one!
    Cons:
Takes a little bit to work out how it works. I use the volume down button - keep it pressed in until the TV does something. Can...

A great little piece of test gear

posted by VK2HRO on 10/12/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is a nice pocket sized piece of equipment. It has a BIG screen, which is easy to read. Its also very sensitive. I have to use the filter function in my RF noisy radio shack. It was picking up the LO on the HF radio otherwise!
    Cons:
I cant find any, except the adapter is a us model. Might not be easy for some to plug in, I wouldn't recommend bending the pins...

The band needed adjusting. Took me about half an hour to figure it out.

    Simple to use, US Plug

posted by VK2HRO on 06/25/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Easy as pie to use - simply plug it in, insert your batteries, and wait for the light to go green. Charges a few different types of batteries.
    Cons:
US Plug. Plastic on plugpack is brittle so dont do the bend the prongs trick. Instead buy a cheap us to aussie plug adapter as ...
