Not overly impressed; could be improved with a little effort

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
This tool seems to be made of good quality steel, and comes packed in a cardboard box with its removable plastic sheath. There is a keyring attachment on the sheath. Markings are laser-etched. The sheath is a good secure fit on the tool.
    Cons:
While the steel is good, and the plastic sheath a good fit, the finish of the tool could be improved. The blade is not terribly...

    Neat little case

posted by ZKKMan on 09/14/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
A neat little case. I bought it because my bank and credit cards always crack after being carried in my leatehr wallet in my rear trouser pocket for any length of time, and I am tired of running to the bank to get replacements. This case is certainly sturdy...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Fits neatly into an unused floppy-disk bay. Installation is simple if your motherboard has a USB2 header within reach. Nicely packaged and labelled in English. Discreet black bezel. Showed up correctly under Ubuntu Linux, when attached to an Intel mother...
    Cons:
The four mounting screws supplied with my unit were too thin to reliably catch the edges of the screw-holes in the plastic wall...

    Splendid hand-held pointing device

posted by ZKKMan on 09/14/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
My wife gives a lot of professional presentations using MS Powerpoint, and has had much trouble with various other pointers provided in the classrooms she use. She wanted her own pointer and receiver unit. DX has an impressively large selection of presenta...
    Cons:
One minor quibble - the USB receiver dongle seems to be very slightly oversized - it required considerable pressure to get it t...
