    Not very cheap, but useful

posted by adriantc on 01/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Although I am an Arduino beginner, this sensor it pretty neat. I did not expect it to be so sensitive (but take in consideration that this is the first sensor of this type I use). As a bonus it does have the color of the Arduino board. I know it is just for...
    Cons:
None that I can think of. There would be one. The size might be an inconvenience depending on what you are going to use it for.

    Not very cheap, but useful

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The biggest pro of this pack is of course if usefulness. Having all the most important connectors will surely make your life easier when it comes to connecting new gadgets. And being an universal connector you can use them with other cables. (I use them wit...
    Cons:
The price is a definite con. I know it has all the connectors, but it is still a lot for a cable. Also considering the price th...

A tangle free cable for on-the-go users

posted by adriantc on 10/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Could be a little cheaper, but worth the price considering you won't have to deal with tangled cables ever again. They should make them without that white sticker.
    Cons:
As with the other retractable cables, the retracting mechanism doesn't seem very reliable. Expect that at least one of your cab...

    Somewhat cheap, tangle free cable

posted by adriantc on 10/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A pretty cheap cable (compared to the local alternatives). It should make your world tangle free (which for me is a big pro). Build quality, at least on the exterior seems ok.
    Cons:
Not very easy to retract. 2 of the 3 I bough retract very hard so if you plan to retract them a lot maybe you should buy 3 (con...

A great home multimeter at a very good price

posted by adriantc on 10/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a cheap multimeter sensitive enough for home use, exactly what I bought it for. Build quality seems fine considering the price. It even comes with an included battery although it was swapped immediately for a more expensive battery.
    Cons:
The test leads don't seem that great. I recommend browsing DealExtreme for a decent pair of test leads, especially if you are g...

Cheap test leads well worth the price

posted by adriantc on 10/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The build quality seems excelent and although it is not very cheap it performs very well. They seem a lot better then the ones that came with my multimeter. Although it required some cutting to fit my multimeter it wasn't a very big deal. They look a lot mo...
    Cons:
They required some DIY to fit my multimeter (also bought from DealExtreme), but that wasn't very hard. The price may seem big f...

Very usefull item for a great price

posted by adriantc on 05/18/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I have bough 2 pcs. of these for a friend and at first I wasn't sure about it because of the good price, but I have to admit I am pretty amazed by how nice they look. the autoclose feature of the box is like the cherry on top of a cake.
    Cons:
One thing I won't go into now, because I haven't tested them long enough is how resistant the tips are. From experience I can t...

    Cheap and very usefull

posted by adriantc on 05/15/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a very cheap power pack that you can also use as a USB charger. I won't use it as a charger as I have smart ones, but the power pack feature is great. This is one of the very few that support 4xAA batteries. Of course that also makes it big and heav...
    Cons:
Build quality doesn't seem that great, but considering the price there is not much to complain about. It does what it is suppos...

Good item - functions as expected!

posted by adriantc on 05/14/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The price is a definite pro, but don't expect too much when it comes to video or photos. However the sound quality is very good; just don't expect CD quality. I only tried it in the city and with the engine running you don't hear any noise, but with it off ...
    Cons:
The photo and video features are just marketing. Just don't expect to watch videos on the terrible screen. Or even photos. Just...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This SD card is just as described, seems to be genuine. The capacity is spot on and the packing also seems original. Nothing to complain about the build quality. Seems like genuine and for what I use it, it is more then enough.
    Cons:
The price could be a con. Considering this is an SD card and it only has 2GB I think it could be a little cheaper. Nevertheless...
