    Not quite good

posted by anrus57 on 03/26/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
"As seen on TV", just as the box says. And it is a lot cheaper than the same "Slap chop" advertised elsewhere. It's all true - one can "Dice, chop and mince in seconds" - but not for a long time, I suppose.
    Cons:
The build quality is not OK. The bad easy-cracking plastic is already mentioned, but there are much more falls. The chopper se...

    Excellent for its price

    Pros:
First of all, it really works and gives the 60x magnification. You can comfortably read a 0.05 mm text, which is usually called "microprint" and is used in various IDs or on some paper money. The size is very, very small - you see a big "micr...
    Cons:
It is very, very small, so it may seem some kind of unconvenient to use. Please note that the size is less than 3x3 cm! It's no...

    A good buy

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A nice model of a cable stripper. Can be used not only with coax cable, but with "usual" one-wire too. The blades seem to be sharp, cutting even the toughest insulation.
    Cons:
Is not very useful with thin wire - I have to work with Russian-made ShGES (????) cable, which is 4 thin coaxes combined, and w...

    Good and cheap

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It is realy cheap compared to prices in my local shops. Here all the styluses cost about 10-15 USD - a great price for a small piece of plastic and metal! And as I suppose, the local shops buy their styluses here, on DX. So why would you want to pay 10x for...
    Cons:
The build quality could be better. All of my and my brother's replacement styluses from DX suffer from the same thing - the upp...

    Cheap and low quality

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The price is the lowest on DX. And the device even works - unbelievable for cheap Chinese goods! But here all the pros end.
    Cons:
The build quality is poor. First of all, the remote did not work. As the return service could be much more expensive than the p...

    Nothing to complain about

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Great for holding liquids on the worktable. I use this for soldering flux, and have no complaints. It is better than a simple small jar - the lid has a small pump which allows to lift just the small quantity of the liquid that you may need.
    Cons:
The bottle seems to be too high and easy to fall. Maybe a smaller one would be a better buy.

    A good switch

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Works well with my Sony A200. Quite compact, the transmitter can be hidden in a hand during a group shoot. Has two modes - you can either press the button slightly, that is for focusing and exposure measure, or you can press it firmly for shooting. If you ...
    Cons:
The instruction is printed on a small sheet and is very unclear. Well, you can find all the features by just playing with the d...

    Not worth buying

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
At least, it is cheap. But... you get what you pay for, and no more pros are available for that price.
    Cons:
The quality of the polarizer is poor. A simple polarizer test can be done using any LCD screen. If you place the polarizer in f...

A good camera for children... or for DIY fans

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The price of this camera is simply unbeatable, even on DX. It is a good camera for children - basically, it is nothing, but a toy. Also, it can be used as a web camera.
    Cons:
The video quality is poor - basically because of a 1/30 shutter speed. It looks like a video in a mobile phone, with "falling" ...

Works good on my Qtek 9100

posted by anrus57 on 02/08/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Well, it just works. There is nothing to break in this cheap adapter and it fully suits my needs. I am able to plug good monitor headphones to my PDA - and you wont't find headphones of comparable quality with a PDA connector.
    Cons:
For me, there were none. Its quality is better than the quality of many "special" headphones of a much bigger price.
