Brighter than I thought. A lot brighter!

posted by benjaminc on 03/26/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This little module is very bright! I could see the dot at 100 to 150yds just before dusk. That is impressive.
    Cons:
This is the first item that I have reviewed that really has no problems that I can think of.

    Fast little fan

posted by benjaminc on 03/26/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is a great little twelve volt fan. I left it running for several hours without a problem.
    Cons:
You will need a spacer if you surface mount this fan. Otherwise, it will scrape. I wish the frame enclosed the sides and had a ...

Does the job, can’t beat the price

posted by benjaminc on 03/26/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The build quality is good as far as I can tell. The cable is solid, but flexible enough to wind through my desktop.
    Cons:
It is not a very long cable, but will work for most internal hookups. I had to route the cable more directly as opposed to the ...

    Through one in the bag

posted by benjaminc on 03/26/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a very compact design. It defiantly beats coiling up a big bulky cable and carrying that around. The build quality is pretty good. It fit tightly into every port I have tried. I have only used it a couple of times, but it has not failed me yet. I us...
    Cons:
It could be longer, but it does the job.

    Needs a fan

posted by benjaminc on 03/26/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I was able to get this power supply to work with my 15.4 inch Toshiba Satellite. The tips are easy to attach. I have used other universal power supplies where both leads on the tips were the same size and it is very difficult to tell which way to attach it....
    Cons:
The build quality is poor. It heats up very quickly even with a minimal load. I was using it as a backup charger and it burned ...

    Better than I expected

posted by benjaminc on 03/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This case is perfect for my 15.4 inch Toshiba laptop. I am able to fit the laptop, power cable, headphones, and a small bag of adapters and accessories all inside this one case. The dual slider zipper covers two sides of the rectangular case making it all t...
    Cons:
The “Anti-Shock” part is quite limited. I would not trust this case to a drop of more than a few inches. It is much more useful...

    Pros:
This is a very compact design. It defiantly beats coiling up a bulky CAT-5 cable and carrying that around. Build quality seems fine. I have only used it a couple of times, but it has not failed me yet. Mainly, it works, as you would expect it to!
    Cons:
The length is not one and a half meters. It is a lot closer to one meter. This limits the usefulness and is just made up by the...

Be careful to understand what you are trying to do

    Pros:
    Seems well built.
    Cons:
Do not full yourself, this is not a converter. That is not really a con, but many people will make this mistake.

Does the job 2 in 2

posted by benjaminc on 03/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I was able to get this to send video and audio to my television from my Toshiba laptop which is running Windows Vista. The five foot long cables are long enough for most applications.
    Cons:
The video quality was poor, but with nothing to compare it to, I do not know if that was the cable, my laptop or my television.
