Keeps your phone from sliding off of the dash board

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Super sticky silicone mat. No smell of chinese plastic. So sticky in fact that I can lean my Samsung GT-i9100 against the clocks and use the navi app. This way I don't have anything in my front window obstructing the view ahead.
    Cons:
None that I can think of.

Good throw and excellent heat management

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
2400mA linear driver gives a good balance between output and battery consumption. Nice GITD O-ring and tail cap. Coffee color looks really nice and sets it apart from many other lights. Good price for a deep reflector XM-L light comparable to a C8 type.
    Cons:
Driver has no mode memory which is annoying. Threads are rough but improved with lubrication. I used the dampeing grease (sku. ...

    Bulb with buck-boost driver

posted by biehe on 11/21/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very bright and white light. Works on everything between 7,5 and 20 Volts! THe 5 LED's are connected in series and light up with full brightness across a wide range of voltages. Could be driven with just 2 lipo's as a cheap helmet light.
    Cons:
Driver is glued inside the bulb base. It would be nice for us modders if wasn't :-) Quite expensive compared to the 4W items b...

    Very focused beam

posted by biehe on 09/02/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very nice head light. Good heat sinking means that the LED can be swapped for an XP-G or XM-L. This would have the added benefit of making the light a bit more floody - a thing it really needs.
    Cons:
The beam is too focused to be used as a working light at close range. In the woods or on a bike it will be fine. I tried using ...

    Very bright spotlight bulb

posted by biehe on 12/14/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright light! I have one installed in by bathroom next to two 35W halogen GU10 bulbs. This one is just as bright as the incandescents and it doesn't get too hot to touch. It's been in use for the past 4 months in which time I've replaced 2 halogens! Ni...
    Cons:
The light has a greenish tint to it. If you like to look at yourself in a mirror, then these shouldn't be your only lights. You...

    Good charger

posted by biehe on 12/14/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Excellent charger for all the most common sizes of Li-Ion's. I use it to charge protected 18650, 18350 and 16340. The 500mA charging current might seem a little low, but in return you don't have to worry about the smaller cells. I've bought 3 of these charg...
    Cons:
Only comes with a US plug. A EU plug alternative would have been very nice indeed. If you're in a hurry to recharge you might b...

Great Li-Ion cells with protection that works

posted by biehe on 12/14/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very high capacity cells. Some other brands promise even higher capacities than the 2400 mAh you get here, but don't let that put you off. These "flame" cells keep all their promises. I use them in all my lights: C8 XM-L, WF-501b (XM-L), TR-1200 (...
    Cons:
Slightly longer than the nominal 65 mm which can be a problem in smaller lights. At nearly $10 they're not excactly the optimal...
