    Good for the price

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This tablet phone works very well, is very responsive, and the 5 inches display looks gorgeous. The battery lasts a whole day of good use.
    Cons:
Is advertised as having a compass and it hasn't. The GPS is very slow and somewhat imprecise. The headphones jack does not allo...

Very good quality for the price

posted by bit15 on 01/26/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The sound quality is very decent, very efficient, good high frequency response, good bass although a little saturated on mid-bass (~200-300Hz). Very nice metallic finish, good cord length, metallic gold-plated 3.5mm connector.
    Cons:
Frequency response could be flatter, it has a peak around 200-300Hz, but can be corrected with a little EQ.

Not exactly as "universal" as the title implies

posted by bit15 on 11/26/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
As a AC plug adapter is fantastic, very well designed and fuse protected. Also great as a 5.5V USB-plugged power supply-charger.
    Cons:
It does not convert voltage from 220 to 110 or from 110 to 220 standards, which kind of defeats its purpose.

    Soft bag for laptop

posted by bit15 on 10/09/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is a nicely made soft bag, materials are good and craftmanship is fair. The zippers are of low quality and size is a little on the tight side. It has straps on the inside to attach the laptop bottom (keyboard) and top (display) and be able to use it wi...
    Cons:
The zipper is of low quality, it will not last long. It was packed in a way that made some wrinkles on the fabric.

    Simple and effective

posted by bit15 on 08/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
It does what is supposed to do, without any bits and whistles. Both the SATA port and the IDE port work as expected. The construction is plastic, but it looks reasonably good.
    Cons:
The plastic construction makes it very light, which makes the plugging and unplugging of the disks impossible without using bot...

    Cons:
The switch is a little big for using directly on the hand (is designed for placing it on a bike handlebar)

    Nice little radio.

posted by bit15 on 06/15/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's a dual band 2w radio covering the 2m (136-174) band, and the 70cm (400-470) band. Is possible to monitor two different frequencies simultaneously while transmitting on one, the frequency on the upper side of the display is the one enabled to transmit. ...
    Cons:
Switching the transmission frequency is a little awkward. The connections hatch isn't flexible enough.

    Responsive, cool Android phone

posted by bit15 on 06/15/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
3G, dual SIM, quad band, GPS, very responsive capacitive display, great audio quality, comes with SPB Shell pre-installed. GPS satellite acquisition is very fast. It doesn't have a TV, which for me is a plus. Very small and light, but with a big-enough 3.5...
