    Everyone needs a helping hand

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I like the simple design and the cast iron base is stabilizing the hands nicely. The alligator clips are capable of holding most of the stuff needed to solder and the magnifier is a cool addition when soldering really tiny parts. It's easy to rearrange the ...
    Cons:
The cast iron base could be a bit more wide on the bottom for more stability. The alligator clips are sometimes damaging the ou...

A fine and cheap sonar for simple projects

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I had my time with sonars and this one is cool one especially because of it's price and quality. The 4-pin design makes it clear how to use it without runtime pinmode switching (unlike the 3-pin sonars). It's nice in close-range measures.
    Cons:
It's far from the stated measurement distance and the reading speed could also be faster. The 4-pin design can be a drawback wh...

A must have for Arduino projects

posted by bmagyar on 11/16/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
An excellent buy for Arduino and breadboard projects, a nice pair of female cabels. A really good offer of quality and quantity for this price. The cable peak is a standard size, usually fitting into all connectors.
    Cons:
One or two peaks used to break but considering that it's a 70-pack, it's not a big loss.

A must have when working with Arduino-like boards

posted by bmagyar on 11/16/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Best price and value ratio on DX. It's a commonly used tool with Arduino-style boards and sensors. It's good that all cabels are glued together in the first place so everyone can choose how wide portion to separate from the big one. The connector ends are e...
    Cons:
The glue between the cabels are a bit dirty sometime. The cover of the cabels are a bit too rigib sometimes I'm afraid I break ...

    Cheap and reliable breadboard

posted by bmagyar on 11/16/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Does what is has to. The price for this quality is absolutely ok and unlike many other boards this one has two rails for power supply. I'd tested it by implementing an "Arduino on breadboard" project with it and also tested burning ATtiny chips on...
    Cons:
It's not easy to clean it once it's dirty. Haven't found any serious cons yet.
