    Great value

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
These cheaper earphones are great. Good sound quality and the flat non-tangling cable is a boon.
    Cons:
None apparent. Have to be little careful with bass-heavy music as it's a little boomy and muffled but I would think any in-ear ...

    Better than a multimeter

posted by bmorey on 04/22/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I bought this because I couldn't get an accurate indication of battery charge from my multimeter. The device I was using batteries in wouldn't work yet the multimeter showed 1.1 volts so the batteries should have been OK. On re-testing with this item the ...
    Cons:
    None apparent thus far.

Solved Nokia Lumia 920 charging issue

posted by bmorey on 12/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
My Nokia Lumia will now charge from a powered USB hub and in the car. Previously it would only charge fully from the Nokia-supplied adaptor.
    Cons:
    None. It's all good.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Lightweight, folds up fairly small, low cost. Great for compact cameras.
    Cons:
Possibly somewhat flimsy for some users. Don't step on it -- it will bend!

    Works fine

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Attaches securely using Velcro straps. Works as intended.
    Cons:
The Velco strap on the screw thread side has to be twisted around the screw thread. You need a straight section of handlebar t...

    Does the job

posted by bmorey on 08/16/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Inexpensive. Doesn't expel a large amount of air but enough for lenses and slides. Won't take up much room when travelling. Quality item.
    Cons:
None really. The blurb says it can be used for cleaning LCD screen. Not really -- not unless it's a very small screen.

    Pros:
Good price and nicely made. Fitted easily and after adjusting the length of the peg it supports my bike well. 14mm spanner required for tightening the bolk.
    Cons:
    None.

    Fantastic kitchen knife

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is the first ceramic knife I've owned. It is incredibly sharp - the sharpest knife I've ever owned. Manufacturing quality appears to be good. The price is right - if and when it blunts I wouldn't bother trying to have it sharpened. I'll just get anot...

    Sturdy - but annoying rattle

posted by bmorey on 03/26/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Strong, well-made mount that holds my 18650-based torch securely. Good price.
    Cons:
The top and bottom halves are connected with a swivel joint. This joint is rather loose and can't be tighted. The result is a ...

One is OK the other doesn't hold charge

posted by bmorey on 03/24/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I bought these to use in my MTE SSC P7 torch/bike light. They are inexpensive and do the job with a proviso - see below.
    Cons:
One battery of the pair is fine but the other doesn't hold its charge. With the 'good' battery I get three or so days pre-dawn...
