Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Works with many different models, including my EOS 450D - Two phase trigger; press half way to focus, all the way to release shutter - Very good range; easily over 10m if there are no walls blocking the signal - Costs less than a Canon infra-red remote tr...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - Very cheap - Does its job quite well

    Cheap and useful device

posted by borugurq on 10/17/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - Very cheap for a device like this
    Cons:
    - Doesn't do frequency conversion. Most 220~230V countries use 50Hz instead of 60Hz, which is what a 110V device would expect t...

    Works on a PS1 too!

posted by borugurq on 08/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - It's cheap - It works - It's very well built - The controller doesn't differ at all from the original controller (it even says "SONY" on the top :P)
    Cons:
I guess it wouldn't hurt if it came with a PS3 adapter.

    Genuine Araldite!

posted by borugurq on 07/29/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Genuine Araldite, one of the oldest brands of epoxy glue. - Cheap! - Very strong - Cures quickly (could be a con if you put it that way) - Being an epoxy adhesive, withstands heat and various chemicals once cured (again, this could be a con if you want to...
    Cons:
    - Once cured, the adhesive is next to impossible to remove - Could be easier to use. Other two component glues use a double syr...

    Good price/quality ratio

posted by borugurq on 07/09/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - Very easy to install even without instructions: just remove the tape from the thermal adhesive, put the memory in between and clip the whole thing together with the clips. - Doesn't take much space: won't block adjacent memory slots.
    Cons:
    - The only install instruction you get is the text on the tape on the thermal adhesive: "please tear it, before using"...

    Great magnets

posted by borugurq on 07/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - They're quite strong. They attract each other even through a bit thicker objects (a finger for example ;P) - Good as fridge magnets (a bit too strong, perhaps) - Great for DIY projects
    Cons:
    - Their strength and small size makes them a bit hard to handle - They won't hold too much weight on walls/ceiling - They do c...
