    Works great

posted by brted on 02/07/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It fits in the micro HDMI port and my HDMI cable fit in the jack part of it. Signal seems clear. I couldn't find anything like this in local stores and this is less expensive than anything close.
    Cons:
The female HDMI port is a little tight, so you have to make sure the HDMI cable is inserted all the way in. The 90-degree end m...

    Good cable and cheap

posted by brted on 01/18/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It seems well made with nice heavy duty cabling. Ends plugged into my motherboard and had drive with no problem. The length seems just right for inside a computer.
    Cons:
I can't think of any. It would be nice for some setups if a cable with a 90-degree end were available, but this one worked fine...

    Love the color

posted by brted on 12/04/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Pretty color. Anodizing seemed good without any flaws or chips and the colors of the different parts match up pretty well. Machining is good. Threads are a little chalky, but smooth. O-rings at all joints. No flicker and the (kind of loud) clicky works well...
    Cons:
The inside of the head is anodized as well. It would be better for heat transfer it it were bare aluminum. There is a nice thic...

    Hey, it works

posted by brted on 12/04/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I bought this for my Nexus 7 as an extra cable, so it was important that it work for data as well as power. And I have confirmed that it does work to transfer files from my computer as well as with the AC adapter included with the Nexus. The color is distin...
    Cons:
    Can't think of anything.

    Works on iPod Touch 4G

posted by brted on 10/06/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I wasn't sure what to think about this thing, but I had an older charger that wouldn't work with the 4G Touch. Using 2 fresh 2000 mAh Eneloop NiMH rechargeable batteries, I was able to get the iPod from 14% of battery to 94% (using Battery Doctor app to mon...
    Cons:
The battery cover isn't hard to remove at all, maybe even a little loose, but it is hard to dig out one of the batteries. The u...

Good deal on a basic case

posted by brted on 11/19/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Fits my 4G iPod Touch 64GB. The case doesn't stretch tight, but it isn't loose. It just fits. The volume and power buttons are covered, but they work fine through the rubber and the case has bumps where they are so you can tell where you need to press. The ...
    Cons:
I think it could be a little more snug. The bottom hole spans from the speaker grille, across the dock port, and the headphone ...

    Not so great

posted by brted on 07/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It is brighter than my XP-G R5. The mode memory works well after the light is off for 2 seconds. The 501B host seems well made with only a minor blemish in the black anodizing. Threads were lubed and there were o-rings at all of the joints.
    Cons:
Mine only draws 1.4A instead of 2.0 as advertised or the 2.2 to 2.9 others are reporting (the most I ever measured was 1.65A). ...

    Last Longer Than Other 18650's

posted by brted on 06/26/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Compared to two other sets of batteries I have (protected gray 2400mAh Trustfires and Ultrafires), these last significantly longer in flashlights on a charge. With a stock WF-504B and XR-E R2 drop-in, these lasted 2:45 (2 hours, 45 minutes) vs. 1:45 and 2:0...
    Cons:
The batteries are slightly longer the others (0.5-1.1 mm) but this has never caused any problems in my lights (502B, 504B, and ...

Good, but too long for some lights

posted by brted on 06/17/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
These batteries look good and seem well-made. During a test in an AKOray K-106 this battery lasted 55 minutes whereas the protected blue Trustfires (sku.3435) lasted 45 minutes.
    Cons:
These batteries are less than 1 mm longer than the blue ones, but that is enough that they are too tight in a Uniquefire S10 an...

Last longer than my other 18650's

posted by brted on 05/30/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Before buying these batteries, I had two sets of 18650 lithium-ion batteries, all protected. One was was the gray Trustfire 2400mAh DX sku.5776 and the other was gray Ultrafire 2400mAh that I got barely used. With an Ultrafire WF-504B host and an XR-E R2 LE...
    Cons:
None that I can think of.
