Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Solid build, crank function seems good, cheap, 2 light settings, everready.
    Cons:
Must have an adapter cable for usb. Batteries are not connected to usb output, you must crank to charge anything, but the sola...

    Pros:
Step up AND step down. Efficient, no heat loss. Indicator light when working. Screw terminals in and out, good markings +/- Accompanying spacer nuts and bolts makes installing in metal encasement a breeze. Good build quality.
    Cons:
    None that I have found.

    Pros:
Incredibly bright (do not look straight at it at close range.) It does say 15-17V operating range, but I have run it straight from a 12V battery with no discernible drop in light output.
    Cons:
Needs a good heatsink, as it heats up pretty fast. Only surface soldering for power supply leads, no throughpin

    Pros:
variable built in illumination, not IR, full color picture, plug and play, literally.
    Cons:
Lighting gets hot on full power, there is no way to maneuver the camera once it is inserted through whatever. Low resolution,...

    Pros:
Easy to use, high quality, versatile input and controlled output. I have used it to make a universal battery- usb power supply. I can use any kind of battery as input.
    Cons:
There is no wrong voltage protection on the input, I got it wrong and the chip heated up pretty quick, but I caught on in time....
