    WOW. Great drop-in module

posted by cagle on 02/15/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Dropped right into a brinkman maxfire. Output is greater than the original (similar to a surefire 6p) and the throw is great. Nice white light. I like good value for the money and this looks like it.
    Cons:
Does seem to heat up fairly quickly, so a light with a metal body (maxfire is plastic/rubber) might be a better choice for heat...

Great drop in - perfect in a brinkman maxfire

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Dropped right into a brinkman maxfire. Output is greater than the original (similar to a surefire 6p) and throw is great - plus it is a nice white light. No heat issues yet, but I have not had it on continuously for more than 5 minutes.
    Cons:
I didn't buy more, but I can fix that.

    Good product with flexible uses

posted by cagle on 02/01/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Great product. Works for what it is designed to do: attach a flashlight to firearm. Very flexible design in that the two main parts attach through standard rail design. Means you could leave the barrel part attached but remove the flashlight bracket (wit...
    Cons:
    Nothing found at this time.

Nice hub for a reasonable price

posted by cagle on 10/31/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Has worked very well with both keyboard and mouse and occasionally a usb drive. Nice for the price for somewhat limited use. It does exactly what I need (allows me to connect keyboard and mouse to one usb port in laptop).
    Cons:
With no external power (just power from laptop/desktop usb connection), the power could be limited to run some devices. This w...

Has to be the deal of the century

posted by cagle on 10/31/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Great little lights at a fantastic price. Momentary with squeeze or small switch for on/off operation. Attractive and small. Cheap enough that my teacher wife gives them as prizes to her class. The kids love them!
    Cons:
They are not free. I have bought several packs and I did get one dead light. Didn't seem worth the effort to get DX to replac...

    Bright for the price

posted by cagle on 10/31/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Bright for a 1 aa light. Build quality is OK and I have had no problems with the light. CREE brightness for a very cheap price.
    Cons:
A bit big for every day carry but still fairly small.

    Good for the money

posted by cagle on 10/31/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright light for 1 AA. About same brightness level as the single mode 1 aa cree C3 flashlight. Low mode should extend runtime, but I did not test. 4 modes is better than 5 modes (or god forbid 16 modes).
    Cons:
Build quality was not as good as my 1 aa cree C3 (sku.1993), but was adequate. Light flickered at first - cleaned the threads ...

    Great product for the price

posted by cagle on 10/31/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Not quite as bright as my first generation rexlight, but still darn bright. Single mode is best for most folks - especially those who are not nuts about flashlights.
    Cons:
Bright single mode means no low mode for longer runtimes. Build quality is fairly good, but not up to expensive light standard...
