    Really nice, compact charger

posted by ciphoenix on 12/06/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The nice thing about this charger is that it is entirely self-contained - there are no wires or external bulky transformers, and so it easily stows in luggage or purse.
    Cons:
It takes a bit longer to charge 18650 batteries with over 2200mAh capacity, but it is a good trade-off with the small size

Nice charger - small, handy, convenient

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
When you work with hand-held LASERS as I do (I'm CEO of Awesome Lasers LLC), you have a lot of batteries and chargers around the shop. This one is nice because it doesn't have a cord or external transformer, and can be easily stowed in a camera bag or purse.
    Cons:
NONE - this is a great little unit.

Handy & Save on Disposable Batteries

posted by ciphoenix on 12/06/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Using rechargable batteries has its advantages. You (almost) never have to replace them. Standard Alkalines & such are such a rip-off, and these have more capacity and last longer. In the long-run, you save $ and help NOT to fill the landfills with toxic wa...
    Cons:
The Battery manufacturers selling non-rechargable alkaline batteries are going broke.

Good for flashlights and spare batteries

posted by ciphoenix on 12/06/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This little case is great for those mini-micro flashlights, but what the ad doesn't tell you is that it is also good for carrying spare batteries. Two CR123A, or one # 18650 fits snugly, and the attached metal ring let you carry it on a lanyard if you don't...
    Cons:
NONE - a very useful little carrying case

    Great Item for Flashlight Conversion

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
These batteries are cheap enough that you can keep a few around in the charger waiting for use. This battery charges quickly.
    Cons:
2400mAh is NOT the highest capacity for this type of battery, but the price is right.

Great Little Flashlight - Very Bright

posted by ciphoenix on 12/06/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This flashlight in what I call TACTICAL BLACK is the brightest 3xAAA flashlight I've ever seen. Easily converted to use 1 x 18650 3.7 volt battery ( see LASER Kit Instructions on www.AwesomeLasers.com ) and great for a LASER host.
    Cons:
The clicky switch in the tailcap is NOT screwed in. The press-fit enables the guts to fall out while you're changing the batter...
