    Great Light!

posted by dangum on 08/15/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This light has a stainless steel Bezel and handle. The switch allows for momentary on and is very smooth. The Head is made out of aluminum for good heat-sinking. The beam is amazing, tight with a large smooth hotspot and plenty of spill. It is light weight,...
    Cons:
I did not like the stock driver, but I replaced it with my favorite driver. SKU: 12764 and it works amazing.

    Better than expected.

Involvement:Novice  (still getting used to it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Quick installation takes less than a minute. It actually works! The focus is smooth. The tripod works well. The case is very snug on the phone and doesn't add much bulk. It looks nice. Not that heavy.
    Cons:
Way too big. Not something that you can carry with you everywhere (unless you have a purse). No lens cap.

    Great throw.

posted by dangum on 08/07/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This thing throws a long way. I took it to a cave and it put out a beam that went at least 300m. It really does put out the claimed 2.8A on high mode. The shape of the reflector is perfect for an XML.
    Cons:
It has a very deep reflector, which causes it to be difficult to fit into normal bodies. It has a small cavity for the driver, ...

    Nice little keychain.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Nice looking, it is cute, and it is cheap. They actually do come in handy to have around. It looks nice and the wings work well.
    Cons:
Too heavy for normal use as a keychain. It took 4 months to ship. Seriously 4 months. Some of them showed up after a month or s...

    Good upgrade for a WF-500

posted by dangum on 08/07/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This thing puts out both the lumens and the heat. It gets hot. At a couple inches it will burn you in around 20 sec.
    Cons:
There is around 5 different ones you are likely to receive. The best one will come in a Phillips box and last pretty long. I ha...

    Pros:
I am going to have to agree with clunian on this one. These have very high capacity, for the price it is unbeatable. They also have the ability to push out up to 8A for a short period. I have compared them to my AW 2500mah and they are almost identicle. Wit...

    Very good charger.

posted by dangum on 08/07/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very slow trickle charge, charges batteries all the way to max capacity and does not get them hot. This charger allows you to charge CR123A or 18650 batteries in it. Build quality is good.
    Cons:
Some of the thicker 18650 batteries have issues charging in this charger. My AW-18650 is sometimes hard to get out of the charg...

    Good for the money.

    Pros:
Good color, great copper star board. This led has a lot better thermal properties than the 5 other xml leds that I have purchased. It can be driven at 3A with no issue for >1hr. I have not had any problems with performance.
    Cons:
The typical green tint around the spot is present. Of course at 800lm you can't really tell unless you are bouncing it off of a...

    Best for the money.

posted by dangum on 08/07/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Light is very bright. Small size makes it easy to carry. Light weight. Very durable, I have dropped it several times and it doesn't even scratch. It is almost as bright as my WF-500, although I do have an AW-18650 in it and not in the 500. The strobe mode i...
    Cons:
Clip unscrews about once a week. The pattern is not completely smooth although, it is smooth considering the reflector is only ...
