    Not that great

posted by dannyc on 09/29/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
First review for this product that has been around for quite some time. Typical Kanen quality packaging, not bad for a cheap pair of earphones. Cables are a bit on the thin side, but looks durable.
    Cons:
Oh boy - where to start? lol.. First off, the fit and finish of this Kanen earphone is kinda sloppy. There were lots of excess...

    Great build and superb flashlight

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
I was amazed at the build quality of this small flashlight. Perfect in almost every way. There are no dirty threads like other flashlights I've gotten before, everything fits perfectly. Comes in retail box. Amazingly bright for a flashlight this small! Usi...
    Cons:
Heats up very quickly when using 10440 batteries. Takes a little under a minute before it starts getting warm to the touch. Pro...

    Nice and Cheap :)

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Got a different brand (Hui Feng) but otherwise it's the same CR1220 battery. Battery has got a good charge in them. Bought this for my daughter's Baby-G :)
    Cons:
None that I can see. They work as they should. It will take a while to see how long they last, but by then I'd probably just ge...

    Great single charger

posted by dannyc on 09/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Charges at 500mA, which means there's no quick charging involved = longer battery life. Batteries don't heat up when charging/fully charged. Tops them off at 4.10V on the average. Does not overcharge.
    Cons:
Sizzling noise when left plugged in and idle, or when charging is finished! Kinda scary, so don't leave these things plugged an...

    Nice for the Price

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Finally got my replacement unit, and it's been working like a charm. Sound quality is simply amazing. It's similar to branded earphones in the $20 to $30 range! The wooden housing is pretty cool, too. Doesn't really need that much of a burn-in. It's great o...
    Cons:
The first one I got had a defective left side. This replacement unit is fully functional, except for some driver flex on the le...

    Useful :)

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
flimsy construction aside, this is quite useful to have if you need to power up USB devices. I used this when we had a brownout for 8 hours. I just plugged in 4 nimh batteries, hook up my USB fan, placed rubber bands to prevent the cover from slipping, and ...
    Cons:
Flimsy construction! I wish they could have taken their time in making these. They're really quite useful, but if you're not pa...

    Unbeatable Price

posted by dannyc on 08/13/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Nice bundle of heatshrink tubings. Price is unbeatable, as these things cost more individually where I live. Tubing shrinks quite nicely.
    Cons:
None that I can think of, except like the other reviewer mentioned, these should probably be wrapped in a different way, to avo...

    Amazing

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Wow.. Never thought a $5 earphone would sound this GOOD! I haven't burned it in yet, but from the way it's performing right now, I don't think I'll ever need to :) Sound is so lush and full, with the right mix of bass, mids, and highs. Choose the right eart...
    Cons:
The left side (again! this is a replacement, the first one had a dead left driver) makes this cracking sound when being inserte...

    Ultra Bright!

posted by dannyc on 08/04/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This thing is freakin' bright! Brighter than my WF-502B which uses an R2-WC emitter and 18650 batts (compared using a 14500 on the C3). This thing is a LOT brighter and whiter for its size!
    Cons:
Well, no real cons, except some nit-picking regarding the construction quality. Body seems a bit too thin - could probably use ...

    Great replacement for BST-33

posted by dannyc on 07/23/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
These are probably the best replacement for the Sony Ericsson's BST-33 battery. Japod has really done it. Even charging it will show "optimized charging", meaning the phone thinks it's charging an original battery. I've had Japod batteries for the...
    Cons:
Looks cheap with its outer paper wrap on the battery, but who cares? as long as it's functioning properly and holds a good char...
