posted by dealq on 12/26/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Appears to be suitable for macbook air (13,mid-2011); I think that means it should also be suitable for macbook pro retina (late 2012). Screwdriver bit is solid, sturdy, hardness appears proper/excellent. Body/handle is solid, paintjob is excellent, balance...
    Cons:
there is maybe 5 degree rotation free play / backlash between screwdriver and screw, connection doesn't feel solid, doesn't sli...

    Works alright

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Easy to set up on new mac, osx 10.8. Good enough sound quality for 2.0/2.1 speakers, when in range. Convenient power plug, usb. Yes it needs a power source (not included), but it's the most common plug. Get AC mains --> usb "charger" or car 12V...
    Cons:
Does not set up automatically on old mac, osx 10.5. Can probably be hacked, didn't have time to yet. Does not set up iphone4, ...

    Kinda useful

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The pin end is very precise and very useful. One side of the pin end is a little sharp, as if it were a little knife, dunno if that was intended because you have to guess which side it is. This side can be used to slice up diseased tissue. Pin and scoop are...
    Cons:
The "ear/scoop" is way too large, this end is only useful for scraping, but not for squeezing as it is meant to. Unle...

    It works!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's like 3 times cheaper than the official battery, and since we all know that official batteries die eventually, especially official batteries from this laptop manufacturer, it's a steal! Might even work longer than the official battery? Even the charge l...
    Cons:
Didn't run proper power diagnostics, but it seems that power capacity or voltage level is a little substandard? Somehow the lap...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very small, neat and sturdy Comes very handy, esp in smaller towns Always charged if kept in the car Bright enough to see where you are going
    Cons:
Not very snug in the lighter socket (hyundai) and thus sometimes doesn't charge due to poor contact

    Perfect!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Holds really well in US sockets, with a tight feel Fits every grounded wall socket and power extender in my house EU plugs fit well, slim ungrounded kind a bit loosely, but still with a solid connection
    Cons:
Since it's small, smooth and tight, getting it out of some wall sockets is doable but a hassle Nothing else

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Works! Cheap! Sturdy Fits the US socket well Fits EU plugs well, both slim, ungrounded CEE 7/16 and fat, grounded CEE 7/7
    Cons:
If you use a fat plug once, slim plugs won't fit so nicely anymore, they will wobble and fall out It's called a "fused ada...
