    Great Polarized Glasses for driving

posted by dpollok on 09/19/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
These are polarized, so glares are no bother. Also great for fishing, as polarization allows you to see beneath the water surface with no glare. They are heavy and sturdily built. Have mirrored strip at top for even more protection. Nice flexible pouch.
    Cons:
They aren't the coolest looking things, unless you prefer a retro-looking metal frame aviator-type sunglasses with yellow lense...

Great scope for Henry 22 cal repeater

posted by dpollok on 08/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good scope for the money. I mounted it on my Henry 22 cal repeater and am very satisfied. After sighting it in, that gun can practically drive nails inside of 80 yards. It zooms very smoothly and stays on target regardless of zoom setting.
    Cons:
The optics aren't top of the line. The scope has a haze when you look through it, and the light gathering is minimal. It is n...

    Sturdy Polarized sunglasses

posted by dpollok on 08/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
These are very similar to blue-blocker tint, but more yellow. It is hard to see from the picture, but the upper edge of the lenses are mirror-finished. This makes the upper part a darker shade, which I think is nice. The rest of the lens works just like t...
    Cons:
The price is a bit much compared to other sunglasses on this site, but the build quality is much higher. These have heavy meta...

    Great for Fog Lights!

posted by dpollok on 04/24/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
These bulbs are s bright yellow color. I guess you could say comparable to sunlight. I have these installed as foglights on my 2001 Subaru Legacy. I am very satisfied with them so far. They are also a typical H3 bulb, so they plug and install just like t...
    Cons:

    Very bright high-lights

posted by dpollok on 04/24/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
These bulbs are quite a bit brighter than standard bulbs, and the color is a brighter white. They are typical 9005 design so it is just a matter of plugging in and installing.
    Cons:
    None noted thus far.

    May require alteration to work

posted by dpollok on 04/24/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
LED for headlight should last much longer than conventional bulbs. light seems bright enough to work.
    Cons:
The LED is a bit wider than a conventional bulb, so it would not fit the holder on my 2001 Subaru Legacy. I think I will be ab...

    Very good Oakley knock-offs

posted by dpollok on 05/11/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
These glasses are indistinguishable from real Oakleys by just looking. The build quality and finish are inferior of course, but you can't beat these for the price. These come in a foam case with a lint-free cloth for cleaning.
    Cons:
You will probably be forced to order many more from admirers of your glasses. My three sons all want a pair now as does my wif...

    Update to Original Post

posted by dpollok on 06/29/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is just to update the fact that I originally said my A/V output didn't work. I found out that I had to change my mode in the menu to "A/V out" mode. After that I was able to hook up the player to my TV with no problem. Of course the pictur...
    Cons:
    It's too addictive.
