    Good thrower

posted by dreamfly on 04/23/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good AA thrower! I know many people wanted the WF-606a but this one is narrower. It fits my AA hoster perfectly. After a mod with 7882, this is absolutely my favorite light. I like it better than my C3s.
    Cons:
Tail button is hard to press and it's too small. They should just use the same button as the C3s. Also the Sanyo 2700 nimh ar...

    Good Luxeon Replacement

posted by dreamfly on 07/21/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good and easy Luxeon Replacement, especially for people looking for a CREE headlamp. Well the best properly is to get a cheap Luxeon headlamp and replace it with this. I have done 2 already and both are good. Need reflector distance adjustment a little....
    Cons:
QA is bad. Bought 3 and 1 DOA. One flicker a little but now seems to be ok.

    No too bad

posted by dreamfly on 06/27/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Bright enough. Similar to one I own. Regulated so can be upgraded easily.
    Cons:
Still old tech. Red flashing LEDs are useless. Battery CAPs opened too easily. Beam not focused well...has dark spot in center.

    Not bad

posted by dreamfly on 06/27/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Simple and not too heavy. Surprising bright for a 1W light and old tech light.
    Cons:
AA's are useless. Too dim. Only AAAs are bright enough. Not regulated.
