    Works well for display case

posted by dx007 on 07/22/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
No batteries needed. It doesn't look too cheap. Solar panels on 4 sides to get power from difference direction/source.
    Cons:
Requires a decent amount of light to get it going.

A little hot, but OK so far

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It works. It is small. Has dual port, so you can charge two thing at once.
    Cons:
2A combined. What this mean is if you are charging a tablet that requires 2A, you can't charge something else. It gets pretty h...

    Pretty good for the price.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very bright. Especially when using lithium batteries. Pretty good quality/build Nice toggle switch and magnetic base. Glow in the dark yellow band and button. Can click button fully to toggle on/off. Depress half way to change modes.
    Cons:
The 3 modes are pretty useless. High is very bright, not sure if it's 310 lm, but definitely at least 200+ lm - ok his is not a...

    Totally cool, very realistic

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Looks almost exactly like the real thing! I borrowed the real lens and took side-by-side comparison pictures. I will post these pictures later. Unless you look closely within 3 feet or 1 meter, you will not be able to tell which is which. The lens hood (mug...
    Cons:
The stainless steel seems a little cheap, hopefully it really is stainless steal. It did pass the magnet test. For those that d...

Works fine, it's a cable tie like any other.

posted by dx007 on 05/29/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Really not much to say here, it's like any other cable tie from any where else. Price is not bad. You may find a better price else where, but they probably require you to buy 1000. 100 should be plenty for me.
    Cons:
No cons. It's a simple item, and it works.

    Nice, flexible, and secure

posted by dx007 on 05/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Great product. Simple and effective. The rubber thing between the velcros is flexible and will bend to a degree to adapt to the diameter of the thing you are straping to.
    Cons:
Don't reallly have any cons to say about this thing.

    Too cheap and weak

posted by dx007 on 05/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
At $3, this is cheap and maybe worth trying. When massaging your head, you do feel the probes tingling your scalp a little.
    Cons:
The probes are too weak and springy. Can barely feel a thing. I think had the build quality been better with stronger probes, i...

Switch from plastic to glass and be Wowed.

posted by dx007 on 05/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
It's clear glass. If you are currently using a plastic one, you probably don't notice how many micro scratches is on it. Once you swap the plastic lens with this one, you will realize your plastic lens is more translucent than transparent. Glass is harder a...
    Cons:
At $1.30 a piece, it is kind of expensive. Becareful with this, I screw on my bezel too tight, and cracked mine.

Good for looking, not recommended for playing

posted by dx007 on 05/01/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Looks good. Great portable size, take it any where you go. Play with it when you are bored.
    Cons:
Quality is very bad. The 4 screws behind the center piece's sticker on 4 of the side starts coming undone as you rotate and try...

Works pretty good, modded for 6C M@g. ~400-500 lms

posted by dx007 on 04/25/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Complete drop in package, no need to gather all the parts. Reflector is solid aluminium, with a good amount of screwed on contact with the heat sink. This is a good thing, the reflector gets hot too after a few minutes of usage. The soldering job was bett...
    Cons:
Lumen - Not sure if it's the driver, or more likely the emitter is a low bin one. Comparing this to my 700 lumen and 160 lumen ...
