    Multi use waterproof box

posted by ecotack on 08/07/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Apparently water tight, no air leaks when box is squeezed. Will fit a 3x18650 battery holders to make a waterproof battery box (what I bought it for). Strong and waterproof enough for my use.
    Cons:
A little bit to flexible, which could cause a leak. Could be a little more rigid. Clips and hinge rely on the flexibility of th...

    Water tight protective box

posted by ecotack on 08/07/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Splash proof. Bright coloured, so you can't loose it (although I bet I manage to). Big enough for a 3x18650 battery pack and small DC-DC converter. Should provide adequate protection for the battery pack from the elements.
    Cons:
Build quality, this one leaked air and so could not be considered water tight (although its more than splash proof). Could be a...

    Multi use waterproof box

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Apparently water tight, no air leaks when box is squeezed. Fits my Galaxy S i9000. Will fit two 3x18650 battery holders to make a waterproof battery box (what I bought it for). Strong and waterproof enough for my use.
    Cons:
A little bit to flexible, which could cause a leak. Could be a little more rigid. Clips and hinge rely on the flexibility of th...

    Great for a shed

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Used two AA primary batteries, so no special power supply needed. Lights up a usable amount in a small shed. Used in a cupboard to light up the small area that the external light does not reach. Would be great for camping, vans, camper vans, sheds, hallway...
    Cons:
Illuminates in daylight. Could do with an adjustable sensor to preserve batteries during daylight hours.

How did I unlock my door at night without this?

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Fix it near the lock on your door and at night you will be able to find the correct key and where the key hole is. One of those gadgets that you wonder how you lived without. Uses a single primary battery. Sticky pad has held very well even in damp cold ...
    Cons:
    Still illuminates in daylight.

    Tactical orange

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Bought these in a variety pack before and though they were good enough to buy more. Fut most of my rear click torches. Help distinguish between torches.
    Cons:
Nothing really, they are an orange button that goes on the rear of a torch, how can they go wrong?

    Not that bright

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I've bought a variety pack before that included these, so though they where good enough to buy more. I mainly uses these to distinguish between different types of driver/LED. Can sometimes be found in the dark. Fits most of my rear click torches.
    Cons:
Glow in the dark is not that bright. After charging the glow it doesn't stay bright for long.

    Small, compact, useful

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
For a single AA battery powered torch this is bright. Nice focus, not to wide. Small in size. Well built. Can be used with primary AA or Li-ion 14500. Clips nicely to top pocket on my jacket for hands free use. Looks good and feels good to use. Good low and...
    Cons:
Button has no off position, it must be held in for a few seconds before the torch turns off. Flashing mode has little uses. A ...

Good idea, useful but falls short

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Its very, very cheap. It protects the hot shoe connector. It tells you when the camera is perfectly level. It fits flush with camera, so its not going to get knocked off.
    Cons:
Only gives a good indication that camera is level. Resolution is poor when you need the horizontal to be level but the vertical...

    Almost as good as original

posted by ecotack on 04/28/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Its a compatible battery for far less than the cost of Canons own. Comes with a plastic protector to prevent shorting in your camera bag. Fit my Canon 550D perfectly. Appears to last about the same as the original.
    Cons:
Can't think of any. Although with all battery packs I wish they would include a little tab/marker so you can mark the battery ...
