Very cute, though heavier than expected

    Pros:
My wife loves Hello Kitty, and she was really pleased and surprised. Finally there's something in my DX orders that she really likes!
    Cons:
It's heavier than I thought it would be. I think if I removed the outer plastic ring (which I will not), I'd find it's pretty s...

Works perfectly with the Nexus 7!

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
It works with my Nexus 7! The plug fits perfectly, and now I can pop in a micro-sized flash drive. The drive looks almost like a 1/4" long cap to the USB connector, and in fact the whole thing looks like one standard flash drive.
    Cons:
None at all, except wishing it were free, or that it was even tinier?

Great little product, but wrong direction for my TV

posted by eidelbus on 09/05/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Good build quality, and the very purpose is to reduce strain on HDMI plugs.
    Cons:
It faces the other direction, too bad. My TV's side HDMI port faces the other direction, so this actually would be pointing the...

    Perfect!

    Pros:
These are smaller than the adapters you typically find at dollar stores and Radio Shack, which are the kind I have. The part that holds the plug is half the usual size, so with these you won't have an overly big piece of black plastic sticking out.
    Cons:
None at all (except for wishing these were free?).

Sound quality is decent, but overall disappointing

posted by eidelbus on 12/27/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The sound quality is ok. Not great (a little thin), but there are worse out there. Reproduction range is pretty good, a bit favoring the low end.
    Cons:
They don't isolate noise very well. Worse, the cord is very short; moving your arms around can be enough to yank it out of your...

Cute but doesn't walk very well

posted by eidelbus on 11/05/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Really cute, very inexpensive, and REALLY CUTE. The picture doesn't show how darling and adorable it is.
    Cons:
Very cheap and didn't walk well. My friend thinks it's broken, but it's ok, we mainly wanted it for her animal collection.

    Inexpensive but nonetheless very pretty

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a very nice gift for pre-teen girls who aren't old enough for real jewelry, or even as party favors for teenage girls' birthdays. I bought one to see if it was suitable for my young nice, and I quickly bought two more. It's just as good as the "...
    Cons:
It's cheap-looking when you look closely, but what do you expect for the price? Expect the chain to break someday, but just bu...

    Surprisingly good sound reproduction

posted by eidelbus on 11/05/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Probably the best non-professional microphone I've ever used, and the price is unbelievably low. This has just as wide a frequency range, maybe wider, than anything short of studio-caliber equipment. It's just a condenser microphone inside, but it picks up...
    Cons:
    None.

Decent sound quality but won't stay in

posted by eidelbus on 11/05/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very inexpensive, and sound quality is pretty good at this price.
    Cons:
My ear canals are a little big, I guess: they just don't stay in when I walk, or when turning my head tugs on the cord. I bet t...

Fair audio quality, but filters outside noise well

posted by eidelbus on 11/05/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Unlike a lot of similar earbuds (sold on DX and elsewhere), when it comes to *passive* reduction of ambient sound, these are great! I use a major brand that most reviews say work excellently, but even those don't work well for me. Unless I have the my acute...
    Cons:
Audio quality is only fair. I don't consider myself an audiophile, but I could tell the sound is lacking. It's not just bass, b...
