Nicely designed, especially the phone plug

posted by eltonw on 03/27/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The earbuds fit *inside* the ear, effectively blocking out most external noise, while still allowing the user to be aware of his surroundings. Having an angled phone plug, rather than the more common 'straight' plug means less risk of damaging the cable at...
    Cons:
Though the manufacture indicates that it goes as low as 13 Hz (compared to the standard 20 Hz), I find that the bass output is ...

Good and reliable product for the price

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
This is similar to the Geyes 800/1600CPI Bluetooth Optical Mouse (which also uses a single "AA" battery) SKU: 50292. Except that this is a white (translucent) mouse, which is an advantage, since (unlike the black one) it allows you to see the flas...
    Cons:
What is the purpose for the extra oblong button on the top of the mouse body? it might be to adjust DPI, but there is no inform...

Really compact, and easy to pair

posted by eltonw on 03/03/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
This is a true bluetooth, so *no dongle*! One single (AAA) battery, rather than two batteries. Light weight, and very compact. Really handy to take with one's laptop or netbook. Works with LINUX ubuntu and OSX.
    Cons:
No indication of weakening battery, but if the pointer starts getting jittery on screen, it is usually time to change the batte...

should / could include a power supply

posted by eltonw on 03/03/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Sufficiently powerful to charge a phone while using USB sticks. The red indicator light is a good selling point. Clip on body means that it can be attached to a desk leg, and be out of the way.
    Cons:
Does not have any indication of what is the proper power source to use, even though it does have a connector port for external ...

    good quality for the price

posted by eltonw on 03/03/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Fits inside ear, so i effect it is 'noise cancelling'. Good quality bass sound. Solid wire.
    Cons:
Lapel clip can be easily lost, so I wound a small piece of fine wire to prevent this. Straight, rather than L=-shaped plug, mea...

good value for price works with *ALL* OSes!

posted by eltonw on 05/10/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
The mouse works with all Operating Systems. The material is solidly built, and it feels light in the hand. Tested on two different machines, two different OSes (NOT Windows). Buttons and scroll wheel function reliably in both cases.
    Cons:
The battery compartment is a bit snug, but not too tight. To remove the batteries, you simply have to tap the opened mouse on a...

slightly longer than the orginal, good product

posted by eltonw on 04/07/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
It works to sync on the Mac, and also with my iPhone charger. Material quality is top notch. This cable only differs from the original in a few respects; The plastic casing for the connector to the phone is slightly larger than the orignal. Likewise the cab...
    Cons:
When removing the phone plug / jack, be careful to gently wriggle it from side to side. It DOES fit rather tightly in the botto...

good value for the money, (but no volume control)

posted by eltonw on 04/07/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
The material is almost as soft as that of the original Apple headphones. Unlike those, however, these fit snugly in the ears, so they would be more sound-proof than the [Apple] originals, which are too large, and often slip out of my ears. As such, I would ...
    Cons:
No volume control on the microphone, so it is a bit of an inconvenience, since you cannot put the phone in your pocket, and 're...

    excellent quality, value for money

posted by eltonw on 04/07/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
This a very comfortable (and affordable) armband for the iPhone. The material is stretchable and feels soft to the skin, the attachment band is of ample width, and not "too elastic", there is sufficient "give" that the product should last a long time withou...
    Cons:
None really. If you have large arms, just be careful to hold the pocket with the phone, as the band can be slipped completely o...

does NOT work with iPhone 3GS

posted by eltonw on 04/07/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Material is of good quality and the connectors attach solidly to both the computer and the peripheral
    Cons:
Once connected to the iPhone 3GS, an error message quickly pops up stating that this product will not work with the iPhone. It ...
