Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Fits like a glove. A gorgeous wooden, splintery glove :D. Felt pads in the back hold phone snug but not too tight. Case clips shut and stays that way - pretty solid. Cutouts for headphones, power, mics, camera, speaker, and led are all very exact. Could b...
    Cons:
A little thick around the edges makes it hard to reach volume/power buttons. Rather deep around the screen; not 'hard' to hit t...

    Pros:
Magnificently bright. Unheard-of bright. wow. bright. Did I mention bright? When compared to my 1400 lumen video projector, it washes out the entire wall making the picture totally disappear, zero contrast. To walk all over a 1400 lumen projector beam...
    Cons:
Weather seal o-ring is very loose and easy to pop out and trap in the threads. (could use a slightly smaller o-ring and be ok) ...

    Pros:
good smps that I use for powering a DIY led circuit. selectable voltage is really nice to give better control if you need this for a laptop ...you probably want that level of control
    Cons:
Aparently you can damage it by changing the voltage while it is operating...yes. don't do that.

    good little resistors

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
cut tape resistor with clear handwritten notes on what each size is. havent tested the accuracy but for this price no reason it should be inaccurate
    Cons:
cut tape may be annoying for some - I prefer it as my parts drawer stays a lot more tidy - but if you want loose you'll have so...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very solid connections, good screw terminals provide a good crimp on the wires heavy gauge pins imply you can run some decent current through them
    Cons:
none that I can think of - it does exactly what it's supposed to do.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Seem reliable, very small surface mount switches good click feel to them, kinda fun to smash the bag of them in your hand, like popping bubble wrap that self heals!
    Cons:
extremely small and hard (for the novice) to solder, not ideal for a first project where through hole might be more fitting sh...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
full usb3 connection, full data connection, full charge voltage/current - is almost imperceptible difference between this and original (different small arrow mark on pad side of connector) good length
    Cons:
connector isn't made of solid platinum. darn. Without a proper charger (from asus) which actually converts from a usb supply ...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
stands vertical in breadboard strong pins good click in click out type connector for card power led when 3v3 applied pinouts clearly labeled for sdio and spi mode. I've only used SPI mode
    Cons:
Clearly a ripoff of the wave design...kinda a pro - because its a good design inherent to design; no level shifter (5v-3v3) - d...

    Pros:
Really cool effect -- I love the animation and it really wows friends Seriously. It looks as cool as it does in the review videos Charge and data connection
    Cons:
Somewhat distracting - if on the computer, in the corner of your eye you don't see the flowing animation, your peripheral visio...

If you need bluetooth, go for it

posted by frollard on 10/14/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Decent signal strength, simply plug and play- worked with arduino hardware serial and software serial ports really quick and easy. connected with blueterm android program without a hitch, echoed responses properly
    Cons:
None that I can think of, other than a cryptic method to set the baud rate and connection name (see the forum comments for deta...
