    Great For Recovering Data

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Easy plug and play. It doesn't matter what order you plug the USB or power into the hard drive. Has detected every 3.5" and 2.5" SATA and IDE HDD I've thrown at it.
    Cons:
The power brick can be a little flaky.

    Pros:
This is a nice little unit, great for the techs who need to travel with different sized screws, but don't need to carry a great quantity. The fact that the lids are sprint loaded are very nice and the removability, operation and addition features of individ...
    Cons:
    None that I've found.

Inexpensive tester for the casual cable maker

posted by gangals on 06/06/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Takes a standard 9 Volt battery and has an easy to read pin layout. The remote unit is nice for already installed cable. The included case is quite durable.
    Cons:
Not the most durable in the world so I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use, but great for the casual cable maker.

    Pros:
Inexpensive, many bit types and a nice little light.

The one tool every tech should have

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very durable, fast transfer speeds and no need for a driver for most OSs. Very nice to have both IDE interfaces and SATA to fit almost all types of 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives. Unlike other models, this unit only requires one USB port which is great...
    Cons:
Vista didn't have an included driver for this item.
