    Nice P60 host

posted by gearhounds on 04/18/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very nice even glossy finish, alum bezel ring, and almost recessed enough tail cap. Fits well in SF V70 carrier, anti-roll bezel works well. Bright when powered by 18650 with good runtime.
    Cons:
Tail switch is typical so-so quality reverse clicky, tail cap o-ring too thin and barely makes contact. Lens was coated with a ...

    Nicely made light

posted by gearhounds on 09/16/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very well made, great finish, clean threading, reasonably bright for a 3 button cell light. Tint is not bad at all. Cheap to feed when you get the batteries at DX (50 for $4.85! sku 60). Tasteful logo lettering looks sharp.
    Cons:
No complaints, except how long it took to get. Seems to be on backorder all the time. What else can you say for less than $5?

A nice option, could use tweaking

posted by gearhounds on 08/01/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
XP-E emitter, easy drop in for P60 ready lights. Mode memory for last mode used. Nice tight spot with sufficient flood.
    Cons:
OVERDRIVEN! With a single Li-on, don't know how long it will last. Driver board a little hinky; when activated, has about a 1/4...

    Nice streamlined P60 host

posted by gearhounds on 01/28/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Streamlined medium weight light that comes with what appears to be sku 11836 Super Bright R2 drop in. Finish seems very tough and is a nice black matte finish instead of the pictured shiny polished one. Threads are well cut and are clean of all anodizing wh...
    Cons:
Not as beefy as I would have liked, especially at the head where it really ought to be for heat management. Lens was loose upon...

    Great economical option

posted by gearhounds on 01/26/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Great little 2 channel charger and at the right price. Foolproof design that charges the batteries it was intended to with no issues. Even an unprotected battery left on well past the green light will only go to about 4.21V. Multimeter shows charging voltag...
    Cons:
Plastic body could be a little bit thicker, but seems strong enough.

Even better deal with the price drop

posted by gearhounds on 01/15/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
As usual, very bright with CR123 or RCR123 batteries. Works in a variety of P60 ready lights with no mods. Perfect white tint with no naked eye changes in tint between the 10 I ordered.
    Cons:
Out of 10, a couple displayed less fine worksmanship with sloppy soldering or boards not level with rear of pill.

    Very nice

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
VERY bright with a standard alkaline AA, and my Energizer rechargeables. Outstanding close to mid range performance. Very well built with an even finish and all threads clean, tight, and free of burrs or anodizing. Beefy construction that provides excellent...
    Cons:
A little pricey for a AA light to some perhaps (but not me!). Upper head glued so the reflector and emitter are not accessable ...

    Slight blem but functional

posted by gearhounds on 10/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good finish and all threads clean and smooth with almost no play. Smooth reflector with no flaws. O-rings throughout, nice beefy pill, reasonable mass for heat sinking.
    Cons:
Mine had uneven rim on the front bezel ring; leaves a slight gap between the bezel and reflector housing on one side but the o-...

    Great DYI kit

posted by gearhounds on 09/18/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very nice kit, tightly machined threads with no sloppy looseness, clean even finish, all O-rings included. Threads are bright and free of anodizing where necessary for maximum electrical conduction. Truly only need a driver and emitter to get going. Great m...
    Cons:
Smooth reflector makes for somewhat ringy spill(unavoidable I suppose). Clicky cover needs interior trimming as the switch is e...

    great performance and consistancy

posted by gearhounds on 09/18/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
As usual, very bright on 2 CR123's or RCR123's; respectfully bright with a 18650 battery and cool to the touch. From ubit to unit, color and brightness almost identical showing good quality control in manufacturing. As is, fits most every light that will ta...

    none. Really.
