Absolutely the best product for the price

posted by hammockman on 03/22/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Inexpensive. Built well. Works great. Vertical crimp way better than horizontal type. Also seems to be able to work with RJ11 (6-pin) and RJ9 (4-pin) connectors, but I have not tried these yet.
    Cons:
As with many things from DealExtreme, it has that annoying chemical-solvent smell, but that is the only negative. Hope it's not...

    Strange But Interesting Little Light

posted by hammockman on 11/18/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Small, fits on key ring nicely. Nice rugged body.
    Cons:
Body painted, will scratch easily. Not very bright (didn't expect it to be). The on/off is done by screwing in or out the back ...

    Not a Remarkable Light

posted by hammockman on 09/19/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Small, well constructed, includes a lanyard, inexpensive
    Cons:
Not really all that bright (I expected more from a 5W LED). And, true to my expectations, it chews up a battery in no time. A f...

Excellent green laser pointer at a LOW price

posted by hammockman on 05/15/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright and focused beam. Easy to see in the dark, great for stargazing with the kids. Heavy construction, seems well made. Comes in a nice gift box with batteries. Uses easy-to-acquire AAA batteries. I use AAA NiMH batteries with no problems.
    Cons:
Does not include an IR filter, and that concerns me a little. I am fashioning my own IR filter to attach to the end. Also, when...

    Great transmitter for the money

posted by hammockman on 05/15/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Has 10 presets, stays on frequency well (doesn't drift), gets good life out of AAA batteries, convenient size, easy to use, a great value for the money.
    Cons:
Engine noise gets through the car adapter so using batteries is pretty much required. The clock has not kept time at all, and t...
