Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Nice and small. Price is cheap. Plenty of travel.
    Cons:
I bought two of these and one was dead upon arrival. Gears were not meshing inside. I just threw it in the trash. The other ...

    Not quite what I expected

posted by hawc1 on 03/08/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Good output. Glass len and metal reflector. It has a clip. Nice olive drab color. Defensive head. Nice body tube with grippy diamond texturing. Comes with a tube extension for battery flexibility.
    Cons:
Awkward forward clicky mode changing ruins the light. You're guaranteed to turn it on in the wrong mode if you use it in a con...

Okay but the gyro version is the better choice

posted by hawc1 on 02/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Price is good. Arrived in fine working condition. Sturdy construction though the trade off is additional weight. Usb charger and extra blades are included. Dual led red/blue switching leds Transmitter works just fine.
    Cons:
Nothing major. One of the led headlights had fallen out of the little hole in the body when the chopper arrived. I was able t...

    Excellent 3 channel helicopter.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The price is good. This version has the gyro which makes a huge difference in stability compared with the non gyro version (sku 32694). Fast forward speeds. It comes with extra blades and a usb smart charger. Also, the led headlights are a nice touch. ...
    Cons:
Very few that I can think of. Perhaps an instruction manual would of been nice but the basic instructions are on the box so no...

    Certainly not a bad choice

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Decent output with an alkaline aa battery that's comparable to the RC-G2. Nice finish with orings in place. The oring around the lens and the switch are glow in the dark. 5 modes is a plus for me. Good quality clip. Switches modes well. Good for those...
    Cons:
I really don't like the switch at all. It switches modes just fine but it's a little too recessed. You have to jam your thu...

    A real bargain

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The price is great. Single batteries in stores go for about what you can get 20 for here. Works with a variety of devices. Great if you buy the ten pack of led flashlights. The packaging was very good. No loose batteries. I know some people had proble...
    Cons:
I haven't tested the voltage on all of them but so far so good. Don't know if they last as long as name brand cells but for th...

    Wow. Nice price.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Received batteries marked 1000mah. Seem to be of good quality so far. Charge just fine with the nano charger. They will probably fit lights a little better than the protected ones. Much more light from flashlights that can handle this voltage vs a pri...
    Cons:
None really. Not sure if the 1000mah rating is accurate or not.

Can't go wrong for the price.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Price, price, and price. The price has been lowered thirty cents since I bought them. Price can't be beat with the free shipping. They work just fine. Travel seems quite good. They seem pretty fast. I bought two and both work just fine. Hardware incl...
    Cons:
None really. The wire is a bit shorter than the tower pro's. But no big deal just use an extension if you need more length.

    Pros:
Nice design. Decent build quality. Cute. Unique. Kids love it. No batteries needed.
    Cons:
Needs a bright flash light or incandescent bulb. Needs fairly bright sunlight. Don't expect a wimpy flashlight to work with i...

Very useful for cars lacking an audio input jack

posted by hawc1 on 01/27/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Low price. SD slot, usb slot, and a 2.5mm input jack. Works fine with a 2gb sd card. Nice display. Pivots for best position. Remote control. Full choice of frequencies.
    Cons:
Remote range is of course a bit short but it works fine inside a car. Input jack audio quality doesn't seem that great when I ...
