Hmmm, not as bad as the last two reviewers suggest

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Pretty powerful batteries. Able to generate 2.880 amps at 4.18v with my Aurora SSC P7. Protection tolerances are slightly wider than on the label (.1 volts higher & lower than spec), but still within safe ranges. The protection does indeed work. Fairly ...
    Cons:
They may be too long to fit some flashlights due to the protection circuit, but so far they fit all of the flashlights I have p...

    Cheap, for display only

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Looks like Wall-E, good for display. Looks good on my windowsill away from close inspection. Cheap!
    Cons:
It's a painted and decal'd plastic toy. Fit and finish is mediocre. Stickers may be slightly off-center, and painting may not...

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Strong nylon-wrapped cord. Fits in my ears quite well. Has a variety of sizes of ear thingies. Decent build quality.
    Cons:
Audio quality is pretty lousy, but better than other DX headphones.

    Good versatile light

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Accepts a wide variety of inputs, very bright. Great introduction to modern LED lights. Will blow away anything you can buy locally. Has usable spill and a deadly bright spot. Glass lens. Quality of the host is good. Cuts through the night like nothin...
    Cons:
Had some issues with flickering, but those were easily solved with a pair of needle nose pliers and a twist to secure the drive...

    Very nice figures!

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Excellent figures! The figures are all well detailed, and the poses look like they're truly in motion. They stand on their own. They're well painted. I'm happy with mine.
    Cons:
Took me a while to figure out how to put on Kakashi's chidori. Once I figured it out I felt dumb. My spouse decided she had t...

    Ugh, it's terrible.

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
    It's small and cheap.
    Cons:
First time I used it, it didn't work. Then another time I stuck my card in it slightly askew, and couldn't get it out! I coul...

    A great infrared thermometer!

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Smallest infrared thermometer available, very pocketable. Accurate, and not too expensive. Uses replaceable AAA batteries. Hard to say much about a device that works quite well.
    Cons:
Gets a bit wonky when it runs low on batteries. Requires a screwdriver to change batteries. Came with an ugly colored orange ...

    Screwdrivers are of good quality

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
All metal, aluminum handle and steel driver blades. Doesn't strip screws. Great selection of commonly required drivers for taking apart modern small electronics. They stand up well to regular use, and do not strip screws like some cheap screw drivers do.
    Cons:
Mine weren't purple. I really wanted purple ones, not for any particular reason... Box it comes in isn't very durable.

Accurate scale with tempered glass platform

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The tempered glass platform is fantastic. Display is good. Highly accurate, no deviation from my other electronic scales.
    Cons:
Plastic bottom leaves much to be desired. Molding and fitting do not fit together perfectly, and aren't painted evenly. It lo...

    A winner for sure!

posted by itdocks on 04/05/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Extremely bright, floody light. Smooth transition from spot to spill. Well built - all machining is done to tight tolerances, all fittings are snug, all threads are tight and well oiled. Tailswitch clicky/mode-change mechanism is of good quality. Driver ...
    Cons:
No lanyard, and no obvious way to attach a lanyard. I guess I'll have to get a holster! Makes you want to buy more of them.
