    Inadequate Design

posted by jihmmie on 03/21/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It is very shiny and nicely finished but I am doubtful of the "Gold Plated" connectivity. The outer build feels secure. The left, right, and ground segments are well secured together.
    Cons:
Very light, almost feels like "Gold-Plated Plastic" The female (3.5mm) connection is not secure. The internal conne...

    Adorable

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Build quality feels very sturdy, but the design consists of two halves (top and bottom) being pushed together (friction fit pins). This could be troublesome if it bangs against a lot of keys or is used a lot as it could open up and spew all the internals. ...
    Cons:
Button might be prone to jamming? One of my 5 was jammed and was on during shipping, batteries were as good as dead when it ar...

    Phone-line power did not work.

posted by jihmmie on 03/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The light is sufficient to provide low level lighting to a room at night, though it is perfect for lighting up a small focused area if you're working on projects and require additional lighting. The batteries are included! The phone line power option is a...
    Cons:
Mine did not work with the phone line RJ-11 setup. I will contact DX to see what can be done about it and update my review.

    Very Handy to Have.

posted by jihmmie on 03/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The packaging was really well done! It comes in a hard plastic tube (see my pictures).Build quality is good, but nothing special. The sound quality is standard, though you have to remember that this is only a standard electric condenser mic. The cord len...

    None presently.

    Decent quality, Does the trick

posted by jihmmie on 03/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The build quality is only decent, but you shouldn't have a problem unless you are rough or don't take care of your equipment. The sound are standard, NOT below standard, they aren't loud but they aren't too quiet. Don't expect brilliant sound from these e...
    Cons:
The wires seem fragile, but should last if you take care of your equipment and aren't rough when using these. Build quality (e...

Only Decent Quality, but Does the Job

posted by jihmmie on 03/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Does the trick, though I wouldn't recommend it for long term use. The mic picks up decently well, good enough for my intended use (makeshift internet calls when I'm at other people's computers), though background noise will also be picked up. It will prett...
    Cons:
Decent but fragile wires. Shouldn't have any problems with it unless you don't take care of your things. Supporting "hook...

    Decent Build, Does the trick.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It does what it does without fail. The plastic moulding of the adaptor's case is a little questionable; though it is solid and it doesn't seem that it will fall apart anytime in the near future, it isn't very well polished and the finish isn't top quality....
    Cons:
The tightening screws are a little hard to access due to limited room/design, but manageable.

Great Quality for Even Better Price

posted by jihmmie on 03/04/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
At first glance I thought the case was too fragile to last long, but if you take good care of your player it will do just fine. Immediately after installing the case I noticed something most cases do a bad job of--showing off the shine and beauty of the pl...
    Cons:
If you are planning to purchase this item to use the belt clip: don't.

    Effective

posted by jihmmie on 02/27/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
-Standard Rare Earth Magnet for a fraction of the price -Thin, the size is great for almost any application or project which needs magnets -Strong, despite thin size, depending on your project you may need stronger magnets. I didn't measure the strength ...
    Cons:
-Thin means it can easily snap, especially if smaller children get a hold of them and spend he afternoon pulling them apart and...
