    Good quality, super cheap

posted by jphphotography on 12/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Way cheaper than a "real" Kangol hat even though this has the logo. Seems to be really well made and would be hard to distinguish from a $70 one.
    Cons:
Its a little tight, since these are coming from Asia I'm guessing it would suit that ethnicity better ;) I'm of german decent a...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Multiple uses (Macro or wide angle) Macro is really close Magnetic system allows it to be attached to just about anything. Extends the abilities of your camera
    Cons:
Macro is maybe too close, on my Kodak Zi8 it takes the focal distance down to about 1cm or less. Wide angle doesn't do all that...

    Cheap and does the job

posted by jphphotography on 11/08/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very cheap for a flash, even a non-adjustable one. Nice addition for "Lomo" cameras like the Holga/Diana/Blackbird Fly/Golden Half etc Very powerful (more than I wanted actually)
    Cons:
For the price there are no real cons but if I had to list a few: Not adjustable High sync voltage (not safe for digital cameras...

Sturdy and way less than name brand version

posted by jphphotography on 11/08/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Way cheaper than the official version. Fits my 70-200 F4L lens perfectly. Helps reduce shakey photos by supporting the camera/lens closer to the center of gravity.
    Cons:
The screw is a little stiff and the hinge is a little loose. As long as you screw it tight though you're safe.

    Pros:
It works. Build quality seems to be pretty good.
    Cons:
I ordered one as soon as I had got my Kindle ebook reader not thinking that I should check the local shops first. I ended up bu...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very handy source for almost all necessary adapters. The provided carrying case is nice and keeps everything together.
    Cons:
Missing some common adaptors like Micro USB. One of the RJ45 jacks came with a broken retention clip, not a huge deal but kind ...

    Cheap, sharp, well built

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Sharp sharp sharp! You can't find ceramic knives locally for anywhere near this price. Rubber handle is very grippy
    Cons:
Like all ceramic knives they are brittle and will shatter if dropped or used on hard cutting boards like glass. Requires a cera...

    Pros:
Bright enough but not too bright LED based so lasts a long time Flexible so fits all books Lets you read in bed without having to keep a really bright light on which could disturb your partner.
    Cons:
Can't really think of any, it's a pretty simple device and there isn't much to it.

Way cheaper than local and its a name brand!

posted by jphphotography on 08/29/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very cheap compared to $8 a piece that they charge where I live. They claim to be Panasonic and the packaging on the batteries themselves looks very convincing so I'm inclined to believe them.
    Cons:
Haven't found any that were DOA or that didn't seem to last long enough so no cons here.
