    Great remote

posted by kenkendk on 04/02/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very light and simple remote. Allmost all buttons work on Android, even the home button takes you to the home screen. The volume up/down works, and so does the play/pause (for some apps). Good accuracy and functionality for and Android-based media center.
    Cons:
The enter button is a bit out-of-place. It is not possible to use the direction keys without turning on the mouse. Does not com...

    Pros:
Great remote for Android based media center. Features all the required buttons. The keyboard is very responsive and has a good feel, I have never seen a missing keypress like I have with the Measy. The volume up-down buttons work nicely. The turn-over-to-tu...
    Cons:
The Home button does not go to the Android home screen. None of the 8 buttons on the mouse-side of the controller has any effec...

Great, but not perfect for Android

posted by kenkendk on 01/04/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Light weight, good feel. Excellent choice of buttons. Good responsiveness, although a bit sensitive. Feels good with the left mouse click in the middle, and a dedicated back button. Scrolling works nice, and so does the volume up/down buttons. The play/paus...
    Cons:
For a controller that explicitly states "for Android", I would expect that the Home button works like the Android hom...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Works great for Android, even has a little Home button. The arrows do scrolling nicely. The volume rocker on the side works. Very light weight, even with batteries. Very small receiver, works just like a normal mouse. Comes with a manual, pleasant brightnes...
    Cons:
Does not auto power off, you need to remember to turn it off or you drain the batteries. The big red power button is useless on...

    Excellent controller

posted by kenkendk on 01/04/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very nice full keyboard and mouse in one device. USB receiver is very small and emulates normal USB mouse+keyboard. The green Android logo turns the gyro/air-mouse on and off. Buttons are soft rubber. The gyro is responsive without being over-sensitive.
    Cons:
The buttons on top do not appear to work on Android (home, mail, volume up/down), it seems that there should have been a FN but...

    Pros:
Really compact form factor, plugs right into any HDMI enabled TV or monitor. Android 4.1.1, and with the easy installable firmware update from the rikomagic site, you get root access as well. Plays 1080p video without a hitch, and the default player also ...
    Cons:
Does not come with a power supply, you must buy a USB power supply that outputs at least 1A. The microSD card must be pushed i...

    Pros:
Very small and compact and also very cheap. Works great with devices that need only a little power.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Great price for a USB charger. Works well for charging phones. Small and compact housing, does not get too hot while charging.
    Cons:
Does not output the stated 1A, so it cannot power the Raspberry Pi board. I have two units and the Raspberry Pi reboots after s...

    Pros:
Cheap, iPhone cable included, charges iPhone well. Good build quality for charger house. Small and compact, does not get too hot even after long usage.
    Cons:
Does not work with Raspberry Pi, which requires 750mA output, even though output is reported to be 1A. Cable appears a little ...
