    Very useful!

posted by kitgerrits on 06/17/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Reasonably easy to set up, useful in 5 minutes. I use this to keep an eye on my engine coolant and true vehicle speed. My engine is prone to overheating and my speedometer tends to be optimistic where vehicle speed is concerned. This little device will gi...
    Cons:
The manual mentions using the USB port to install updates from the Internet, but fails to mention a website to download from. A...

    Pretty good!

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It looks good, fits very snugly around the phone and the USB stick works well.
    Cons:
I ordered 2 and the one was of lesser build quality: The middle of the case edge around the volume bottoms broke and the glue s...

    Pretty good

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Both batteries provide full information (charge, shots), the button feels and works great and the "enable" switch is a nice addition.
    Cons:
The screw feels a bit loose and there is a little wiggle room left. I do not have the official part, so I do not know if the of...

    Good stuff!

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This eyepiece fits snugly on the camera and the rubber side is just as soft as the official Nikon part. I'm very happy with it.
    Cons:
I see no problems with this part. I have only used this for one month, so I cannot say how long the device lasts in Real Life.

Works fine on an iPhone 5

posted by kitgerrits on 11/21/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
1/3 of the price of an official cable, without sacrificing any functionality.
    Cons:
A real Apple Geek could tell it's not official because the USB plug is a bit bigger. The price seems high, but should come down...

    Great dock

posted by kitgerrits on 11/21/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The dock fits well with ample room for skins around the phone itself. It gives me a place to store and find the phone on my desk, so I remember to charge it regularly. Because the dock simple extends the cable, there's no electronics that fail.
    Cons:
None, concerning the dock itself. It would be nice to be able to use a regular USB cable, but that would increase the price of ...

Not great, but definately very good.

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This cradle gives me a specific place to store (and find!) my phone. I even have 2 of them : one at the office and one at home. The battery charger is very convenient for those of us who have a second battery (Another definite recommendation).
    Cons:
The phone is not angled back, which makes the display hard to read when the phone is placed on a desk. After about a year, the ...

    An odd, but useful concept

posted by kitgerrits on 10/01/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It will fit my DesireZ as well as my Blackberry Curve. It will charge anything with a microUSB plug, but phones do look best on the cradle. The phone is angled slightly up, makign it more easily readable.
    Cons:
Charging my DesireZ requires actually plugging the cord in and picking up the phone means unplugging it.

A Marked improvement over its older brother

posted by kitgerrits on 07/01/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Every Nikon owner that does not already have an External Flash unit, should buy one of these, just in case. It's very cheap for what you get: - Flash without draining your camera battery - Lots more power than the flash in your camera - Comes with a Foc...
    Cons:
There are 2 drawbacks, when compared to its Official brother, the Nikon SB-700: - The power-on time is significantly longer (u...

Great idea, but the firmware is a let-down.

posted by kitgerrits on 06/19/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
4 HDMI inputs and a redirect to TOSLINK and S/P-DIF AND analog for sound. This would, theoretically, allow you to switch HDMI decives without switching inputs on your 5.1 receiver, if it has no native HDMI support. It even allows you to connect an old-fas...
    Cons:
The sound cuts out if you pause the video. If you change devices, there is a good chance you will get no sound /and/ no pictur...
