Just what I was looking for

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
HTC ExtUSB to 3.5mm Jack converter, for a great price. I've been looking for this for some while, but in all the other shops the adapters are too expensive. Here at DX I can buy it at a normal, or even cheap price. The cable length is good, plug fits good i...
    Cons:
No real cons, maybe the cable is a little bit on the thin side, but I don't think this will cause any problem.

    Just what I needed

posted by krisje8 on 12/02/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Here come the obvious pro's: - Gives you USB2.0 on a laptop with USB1.1 (yes, the full USB2.0, not a tiny bit slower) - Works under Linux! It was known it would work with windows, but I tested it on Linux and it worked there as well. See Other Thoughts for ...
    Cons:
    - Slightly big, but you can go for the 2port card which is smaller.

The Best Screen Protectors for the DS

posted by krisje8 on 07/03/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - Very easy to apply, I applied both protectors in a couple of minutes, without even retrying. - Doesn't get filled with airbubbles easily - Doesn't lower the touch sensitivity - Clear instructions (although I don't understand Japanese, the pictures were su...
    Cons:
Not much, only that it 'scratches' easily, but this is just on the protector itself and you can only see it if you put your DS ...

    Very Useful for Laptop HDDs

posted by krisje8 on 04/24/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Feels solid, does the job and is very cheap. I used this to install Linux on my old laptops hard drive through another computer. The old laptop was too old for the installer, but once installed it works fine. So this adapter that doesn't even cost $2 gave a...
    Cons:
The plugs are all a bit tight, which is good if you want it for a hard drive permanently, but when you switch drives a lot it m...

    My Favourite MicroSD Card

posted by krisje8 on 04/24/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Fantastic memory card. It's fast, 2GB (max for most devices), it's from a respectable brand (Kingston), and it's really cheap! I have a couple of them lying around here, not only this 2GB but also a 1GB, and they all work great. I use them in my flashcarts ...
    Cons:
    None at all.

    Good flashcart

posted by krisje8 on 04/23/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Quite a good cart, this cary used to cost a bit more than a R4, but now it's at about the same price. The EZ-team has released other good carts before, and this cart is not an exception. And now with the latest update the EZ-team provided an auto dldi patch...
    Cons:
Slow loading, my R4 loads roms from the same microsd about 2 to 3 times faster. The side of the cart with the sticker on it is ...

    Way better than I expected

posted by krisje8 on 04/23/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This wifistick is great, the smc connector enables you to hook up different antennas, and this is great if you're experimenting with DIY antennas. My laptops wifi finds about 10 networks here, this stick finds about 15 with the original antenna, and with my...
    Cons:
It isn't that easy to install the drivers without installing the EDUP tool. But I can't think of any other cons.

    It works!

posted by krisje8 on 03/08/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - It actually works! It looks like a regular gel ballpen, and you'll notice after 20 minutes that it's disappearing - Doesn't have to take 2 hours, if you put the paper on a warm place it will disappear quicker
    Cons:
    - Doesn't disappear 100%, if you look a bit closer you can still see the engraving and a bit light ink. But if you don't press ...

    Good pair with sku 3273

posted by krisje8 on 03/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Good charger, charges quite quick (also depends on the batteries of course) - Works on 230V here in Europe, you just need an adapter like sku 3529 so that it fits - Smaller than I expected, so it doesn't take much space - Good price, other charges of this...
    Cons:
    None so far.

Great Price for a good laser

posted by krisje8 on 03/07/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
    - Really bright dot - Very good price, about 25 cents per mW - Solid heatsink, the laser doesn't get hot at all (even when it's potmodded) - Easy to potmod, and still works perfectly after it - Quite a large voltage range, but you need more than 5v if you w...
    Cons:
    - Big dot, so you can't burn things as it comes. With a lense however, you can pop balloons, burn dark (not only black) tape, b...
