    Pretty close imitation

posted by lajoswinkler on 08/14/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
It's pretty decently built. I've expected less quality. The coil is not deformed. It's shiny.
    Cons:
Too expensive for something that's not original. There are weak oxide markings periodically positioned on the coil, probably fr...

    Highly useful little gadget

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
If you drive long distances, especially at night, and you can't take a nap, this device can save your life and lives of other people in the car and on the road. It's very light and simple to use. One switch, on/off.
    Cons:
The quality could be better. I've opened it and the battery contacts were rusty. The plastic sockets for the screws are not ver...

    Useful C

posted by lajoswinkler on 07/23/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It's kind of hard to find a C tuning fork all alone. It usually comes together in a chromatic scale.
    Cons:
The tone is not 523 Hz. It's almost 526 Hz and some people can hear that very slight difference.

    Quality at a cheap price

posted by lajoswinkler on 06/26/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very cheap. The plastic is lightweight but decent and sturdy. It's extremely useful and no wonder people hunt for this little tool.
    Cons:
I see no cons for this product. The plastic looks like it might not survive a decade, but it really doesn't matter.

    Great little acoustic tool

posted by lajoswinkler on 06/26/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The fork is very well made. It is not made of aluminium as advertised, but from stainless steel, but that's good, as aluminium would be easy to distort and lose its acoustic properties. There are no scratches on the surface.
    Cons:
There are really no cons with this instrument.

    Good as a toy

posted by lajoswinkler on 05/10/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
It's got four lens which is the main reason to buy it. It's fun if you expect playing with low quality camera.
    Cons:
Its overall construction is a bit too flimsy. It's somewhat difficult to load it with film and advancing the film is sometimes...

    Quality product

posted by lajoswinkler on 05/08/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
The prism itself is very well made. It has no apparent scratches. The package kept the prism intact in transport.
    Cons:
The package looks nice and is perfect for storing the prism because it's made out of cardboard, silk and soft styrofoam, but it...

    Nice shutter release cable

posted by lajoswinkler on 04/17/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The cable is very flexible and well made. It has a useful lock for long exposures and the part with the screw can be turned around, facilitating the removal and fixing of the cable to the camera. It won't memorize the shape it was rolled inside the package.
    Cons:
The lock is quite flimsy. After you push the trigger several times, it jumps up and locks the cable. It's not a big problem. A...

    Amusing product

posted by lajoswinkler on 04/07/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
You can fool people if you take a photo of yourself while wearing it, or if they see you from a distance, but once they get a better look at you, they understand your trick. The tint of the "skin" part easily matches light skinned people.
    Cons:
It's not exactly for all arm sizes. On very thick arms, it's so stretched that individual lines can be seen. On very thin arms,...
