Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Premium finish - the orange anodising is really well done and makes the tool more visible. Small and light for everyday carry. Can be disassembled/customised using six-point bit Useful choice of tools Outside-accessible tools
    Cons:
Tools do NOT lock (although designed to appear to have locking tools) Tools are not of highest build quality - simply clean, sh...

    Tacticool!

posted by leonardlow on 10/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The appearance of these is pro. Apart from the micro switch on the back it is difficult to tell these apart from a $400 professional red dot scope. The rail mount is absolutely rock solid - once mounted, this will not move, break off, or come undone.
    Cons:
I ordered three of these. Two of the lasers worked perfectly: nice bright red dots. One was dismally weak and the red dot cou...

    Surface Tested & Recommended

posted by leonardlow on 07/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    * Knife itself is very strongly constructed using premium materials. Less than 1mm/kg of lateral flex in the blade, which is 4mm thick. * Handle is made on non-slip, rubberised material, and is deeply textured to provide additional grip in any conditions. ...
    Cons:
    * Blade cannot be easily removed from handle so the complete inner construction of the knife could not be determined, and the k...

    Worth the money.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    * Bright, white directional light. Suitable for film and video applications. * Included yellow filter is useful for preventing mismatched colour temperatures between lit subject and ambient environment * LEDs do not get hot and use less energy than Tungst...
    Cons:
    * CANNOT be used with rechargeable AA batteries (which each supply only 1.2V not 1.5V). Proper alkaline batteries must be used...

    It works perfectly

posted by leonardlow on 02/17/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    * Works flawlessly - just pop your iPhone on and it starts charging * Features an audio out line in case you want to have your iPhone's music through some larger speakers while docked.
    Cons:
Will not accommodate a case - you either have to take the phone out to charge it on this or else you have to pull the cord back...

    Essential item for enthusiast photographers

posted by leonardlow on 10/22/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    * Amazing, strong, bendy frame! * FILM grey card (darker than a digital grey card) with target for pre-setting manual focus. * Portable mini white REFLECTOR. Excellent for macro work in bright sunlight.
    Cons:
    * Not a digital grey card; digital exposures will be *very* slightly overexposed when spot-metered off this card.

    ...with 5DmkII and Eye-Fi card

posted by leonardlow on 10/17/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I've been using mine to hack an Eye-Fi wireless card into my Canon EOS 5D MkII! It works... as long as you ONLY shoot in JPG - if you shoot RAW or RAW+JPG the camera has a fit. :( Does what it says it does for other SD and SDHC cards.
    Cons:
It's a wide CF card! Much wider than modern CF memory cards. However, it fits into the memory bay of the 5D MkII. If your de...

    Big Storage, Teeny Price

posted by leonardlow on 10/17/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
16GB of awesomeness for just $50. I've been using mine in a Canon 5D Mk II to take 25MB raw files in bursts of 3-6 shots (at 3.9 shots per second), and Full High Definition video... and this card has been working perfectly.
    Cons:
Not as fast as my Sandisk Extreme IV UDMA card. But heck, it's a sixth of the price when you compare it MB for MB.

    Pros:
