    Nice Adapter

posted by lexina on 12/23/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Made of solid piece of metal (unlike the bundled adapter which is pastic!) - very matching. The threading is 62mm down to 58mm unlike the bundled adapter which is 62mm up to 72mm. The original adapter was too long and could lead to the odd case when the cam...
    Cons:
Just 1 or 2 very slight nicks which are not noticeable.

posted by lexina on 11/19/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Good-looking knife with a classy handle. Feels very sturdy and strong.
    Cons:
A little harder to open than my other 2 knifes from DX (the Benchmade and the ColdSteel). Almost impossible to close with one h...

    Great, Fast Charger

posted by lexina on 11/16/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Well-built. Ac-Dc adapter built into the cradle. There are 2 separate, independent charging channels so you can charge cells of different capacities/depletion level. Charges very fast at 1A per channel. Costs just a little more than the 1A single-channel ch...
    Cons:
Not a big prob but will need a spacer to charge cells other than 17670s or 18650s.

    Easy To Use

posted by lexina on 11/13/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Very easy to use. Can show measurement in different units. Light at tip is useful at night. The L-shaped tip doesn't get in the way. Small, handy size.
    Cons:
    None.

    So-so reflector

posted by lexina on 11/10/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Cheap, tri-reflector. Fits into a MagC but may need adjustment to the height - I had to add a copper coil below the heat sink. More convenient than 3 separate reflectors.
    Cons:
Does not give a nicely-focussed hotspot for Crees. Need to cut off some of the plastic legs. May work better with SSCs.

    Excellent Knife!

posted by lexina on 11/10/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Handsome knife. Very nicely balanced. Fits very well in my hand. Smooth and easy to open with one hand. The liner lock seems strong and dependable. Handle secured by 3 rivets at the back. No garish logo/label on the blade unlike another knife sold here.
    Cons:
None - this is my favourite knife on DX. I have also bought 2 others.

    Very Useful Multi-mode

posted by lexina on 11/01/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
The slow blink is perfect for bike use. I find that the usual strobe mode in other multi-modes only tend to irritate other road users. Very bright - on par with other drop-ins like the 1447. Big hot spot with just a faint ring. Easy to use; to go back to th...
    Cons:
Drop-in seems a bit longer than others. May be a difficult fit for certain lights.

    Excellent for 3-cell Light

posted by lexina on 10/25/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I was looking for a drop-in that would work with 3 LiIon in my 9P and this fits the bill perfectly. Very white tint. Large hotspot and useful spill. Less of a thrower and more for midium distance. Fits in 9P without gap if you remove the outer spring.
    Cons:
    None.

    Good and Robust Charger

posted by lexina on 10/25/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Have got this for over a month now and it is still working well. Charges much faster than the typical 450mA-500mA USB chargers. With the right plug, it will charge most handphones. Also plugs into my DSD LiIon charger.
    Cons:
None but my next purchase will ve the 2A model!

    Stylish, mini-turbo light

posted by lexina on 10/22/2007 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Glass lens and metal reflector. Two-stage, responsive tail-cap clicky. Excellent, deep knurling on the body for grip. The light will run on either 2 X R123 or 1 X 18650 with only a slight drop in brightness for the 1-cell mode. Measured tail-cap current: 0...
    Cons:
Would have been better without the ring. I believe this is caused by the smooth, flat surface of the reflector around the led. ...
