    Small, bright and well made

posted by littlegiant on 01/28/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Well made body. Really small and light weight. Current draw: 2.1A (high) at tail cap with freshly charged batteries. Did not test current draw at LED. Significantly brighter than my 2 cell P7 trustfire led with 2.3A current draw at LED.
    Cons:
Not that I can think of.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
A really well made flashlight. Really good quality build. Amazing throw. Throws much further than my Q5 28mm aspherical driven at 1.2A. Very bright. Output at around 1.2A. Tail cap current at 1.3A. Very tight hotspot. The white light is a very neutral white...
    Cons:
Very bulky for a R2 flashlight. Resistor tail switch. Very inefficient in low mode. Resistor is around 5ohms.

    heavy torchlight

posted by littlegiant on 08/22/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very bright when used with a 14500 3.7V li-ion battery. Current Draw at tail end is over 2A. Hotspot is very even and tight. Much brighter than all my other Q5 led torch.
    Cons:
Though very bright, LED seems to be highly overdriven. Gets very hot quickly in high mode. When used with a nimh AA battery, ou...

    Good torchlight for ladies.

posted by littlegiant on 08/22/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Really bright. Amazingly bright for such a small torch light. But of course you will need good quality batteries for this torch light to shine. Build quality is really good as well. The body is made of brass with chrome plating.
    Cons:
Heavy for its size. No thermal Grease. Thermal glue is used to attach the led to the pill. though thermal glue is used, the led...

Best 18650 I've owned to date.

posted by littlegiant on 08/22/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Tested around 2550mah on average when discharged from 4.2V to 3.0V. Will most likely hit 2700mah when fully discharged to 2.8V.
    Cons:
Most of the capacity comes from the region of 3.5-3.7V so buck boost circuits are recommended.

posted by littlegiant on 07/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day
