    Nice UV LED light.

posted by logozo on 04/06/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Does lights up with ultraviolet and violet light, and makes certain colors/surfaces fluoresce. Reveals certain authenticating marks in money bills or important documents (passports, citizenship card, etc) to prevent counterfeiting. Firm tail switch.
    Cons:
Not very strong in the UV range - need to be close to certain fainter marks to brighten them up. The threads were a little bit ...

Great small case for many SD cards!

posted by logozo on 04/06/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I have several SDHC/SDXC cards for my DSLR which I also use as a semi-pro video camera - therefore I eat SD cards faster than with taking pictures. Keeping them all together is very easy with this case. All the compartments are "tight" (so that th...
    Cons:
The plastic is not that high quality. Might not live well through very hot or very cold conditions (but then again so will the ...

    Great cover, girlfriend loves it.

posted by logozo on 01/05/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Bought that on impulse because it was so cheap and my girlfriend's iPhone 4 cover was scratched/chipped after years of use and abuse. Didn't expect much from a 2.40$ accessory, but she was pleasantly surprised. Design and colors are good taste/sober - some ...
    Cons:
Dunno how long the shell will last or if the colors will fade away. At that price, can't complain too much!

Great little lighter. Classy and convenient.

    Pros:
Got that one because it seems to be a replica of the Austrian IMCO vintage lighter, but uses butane gas instead of lighter oil/fluid (which is a total mess to use, not to mention impossible to carry in a bag/pocket!) Refills easy, makes great flame.
    Cons:
None so far, will have to see if it lasts long. Bought other lighters on DX.com and most of them died (stopped lighting or had ...

    Perfect!

    Pros:
I bought that adapter to connect a tripod head to a table dolly (those with rollerblade wheels - you can get those on DX.com). Works very well - the tripod head adds heft and flexibility to the setup. The base thread was 1/4" not 3/8", and getting...
    Cons:
None so far. I wish the middle "ring" base had a larger diameter, but I haven't got any problems because of that so f...

    Perfect for Canon 60D DSLR!

posted by logozo on 01/05/2014 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I got two of these to fit in a battery grip that goes under my Canon 60D. With four total (two I owned plus two I bought from DX.com), I have truly full day shooting (I shoot videos with my DSLR). They charge in Canon charger, and appear to last just as long.
    Cons:
No con so far. Will have to see how long they last over time, and how well they keep their charge.

Great battery replacement. Fraction of the price.

    Pros:
I bought two of these puppies for my Canon Powershot S100, and it's everything I expected from it. It lasts just as long as the genuine Canon NB5L battery, but costs almost 1/10th the price here. Fit and finish is identical to genuine. Recharges in Canon ch...

No con so far. Will have to see how well it lives over time (charge rate, battery life)

Great to try your hands at lens filters!

posted by logozo on 02/15/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Buying such kit at professional level would be cost prohibitive for most individuals (a single filter can cost hundreds of dollars... ), so it's perfect to experiment. Dramatically change mood or use the ND filters to use wider appertures in bright light. C...
    Cons:
The filters are made of resin (and not tinted glass), so they will... a) scratch easily, mark and dent very easily b) collect ...

    Great little LED flashlight!

posted by logozo on 02/15/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Fits everywhere, perfect to carry around if you have to fish behind servers, desks or inside cramped spaces. Slips into a backpack or purse easily, uses AAAs (I put a NiMH in it). Bright (for a small LED light.
    Cons:
Bit lengthy for a AAA flashlight. I should have checked the physical specs - other SKUs are shorters (and therefore more portab...

    Fantastic little table dolly!

posted by logozo on 02/15/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Very sturdy, ball bearings of the wheels are buttery smooth. Easy to setup the angles despite bizarre angle markings. Works wonders with one or more magic arms. Perfecty for beauty shots of food, jewelry, computer hardware and other small items. Would work ...
    Cons:
The handles to tighten the wheels are in cheaper plastic - might crack on the long run or if tightened too hard. Only supports ...
