It will last if no major damage to it

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
I put my Google Nexus in it and drown it to 10 feet deep with no issue at all. It is easy to rinse and clean before taking the phone out. The material is tough.
    Cons:
The rotating locks are getting loose and may get unlock easily. The bubble edgs have no buoyance when a phone is in place. It...

    Cons:
Night shooting...forget about it! It is very grainy like using ISO 12800 or worse. It tries to keep the white balance though. I...

It won't fail you for a medium duty job.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The PRICE can't be beaten by any brand name heads. The performance is at par either. With the fiction adjusted accurately, I don't have to turn the knob again to pan/tilt my 5 pounds gears in any angle.
    Cons:
The smoothness is still cannot compare to some top of the line products (similar ball size). Remember that you had paid only o...

Not for any SLR without modification

posted by mailel on 01/24/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It holds my Nikon horizontally with 18-250 mm lens fully extended. It comes with a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter for swivel head too, luckily (see below). It grabs in whatever arrangement you want.
    Cons:
The plate that contacts the camera is teflon like plastic, very slippy. Even a mid size point-and-shot will lost grip in verti...

    No difference with the original

posted by mailel on 01/24/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The size is just a little bit larger than Nikon's. All the functions are there. Each of my camera has its own remote now. The distance is longer than my original now (my original has been used for 5 years, not fair).
    Cons:
if size really matter (1 or 2 mm all around).

Very handy bracket for outdoor macro

posted by mailel on 01/24/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It holds my two Nikon SB-910 and mounts to the camera OK, not very solid. Good for on-the-run macro, arts copying (if allowed), and passport photo portraits.
    Cons:
Creative lighting is limit to its 12 cm diameter ring. Light modifiers may improve the quality a bit. There is still a lighti...
