Not as bright as FENIX TK40

posted by mcuman on 06/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - small in comparison to FENIX - quite bright - can accept 2x CR123 and 18650 - many mode, so you can impress or annoy your friends with them
    Cons:
    - the tailcap is not clean - have hard time trying to keep it steady in consistent output mode - consistently have to do the ac...

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - bought it out of curiousity due to the much review it receives at the DEFACTO flashlight site - not dissappointed with the quality of product and light power - good to have the minimal mode - good to give to first time flashlight users due to verstaile b...

    Can use on KODAK Z812

posted by mcuman on 06/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good replacement for NiMH AA battery and last longer than it. More shots can be made with it.
    Cons:
When on Video mode, the battery is sucked up by the camera pretty fast. Not sure if it is the camera or the battery or both. Lo...

    Great Portable bright lights

posted by mcuman on 06/20/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
This is better quality that I thot when I thoought of buying. I wanted a 18650 small light becos it should last longer than a CR123. It did. So, less running to the charger to re-charge the CR123. Almost as bright as my Fenix TK10. But Fenix wins.
    Cons:
The throw and spread are not fantastic considering that the reflector is small diameter and shallow. But for indoor use it is s...

    Bright Cheap Light

posted by mcuman on 09/02/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Cheap 1XAAA which is the brightest of the cheap range I have so far. It uses Chinamade LEDs. Brighter than the E01. The body is thick(2.5mm) and shud be robust to be rough EDC.
    Cons:
The tailcap screws out to release the clip and the tail battery spring is attached to it. This cap looks and feel rather cheapi...

    Informative LCD indicator

posted by mcuman on 08/16/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The LCD Indicator is useful to show the state of battery and progress of charge. Looks nice and the power cord (instead of attached poewr pins) is a plus point. It's sleek and you can tuck it away at the corner of your desk while charging.
    Cons:
My unit's two right hand side slot acts "defective". By that i mean when I take out the fully charged batteries from ...

    Too Tiny to mod

posted by mcuman on 07/20/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It is very tiny and good for 1xAAA mods. IF you are thinking of upgrading cheap 1xAAA, you can try using it. Wire to LED comes soldered ready.
    Cons:
Very tiny and fragile to handle. Any pressure on the PCB will result in some leads coming off. Rework of loose leads(in between...

    Not bad, quite useful

posted by mcuman on 06/24/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Small and light(no pun intended)weight to hang on your key chain or give out as gifts. My 10 pieces was given out in less than 10 minutes.
    Cons:
The permanent ON button mode needs a bit of practising to get it right but it is quite easy once u get used to it.

    Fits my 3D Mag like a T

posted by mcuman on 06/24/2008 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Fits right into my old 3D Maglite. Threw out the original acrylic(?) lens which has blurred over the years. It now looks super clear like an aquarium.
    Cons:
    None none none
