cheapest laser tail light for your bike

posted by mnalis on 02/25/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - it is cheap enough. While it may be somewhat cheaper, it's still a great offer - twin red laser tails on the asphalt! it's not easy to find locally, and even when one can it's at outrageous prices. Around here you'd get plain LED blinking/steady light for...
    Cons:
    - it say on the box it's water resistant. It's not waterproof so you won't be able to go out in the rainstorm, but it will prob...

    Good visibility lamps

posted by mnalis on 02/12/2013 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
It is very bright. Looks waterproof (but haven't tested yet in heavy rain). Fastening is very secure and holds well. The lamps have several modes, so you can put them on blinking to both improve visibility and save battery life. Uses standard CR2032 button ...
    Cons:
None really. Could be a little cheaper maybe.

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very nice and bright lamp. Spreads light quite nicely, so you can use it as drop-in replacement for all lamps that mount with thread up, it is not a directional spot lamp but a nice flood. Gives more light than myy 11W CFL! Great lamp if you need lightening...
    Cons:
could be a little cheaper - LEDs are still quite an expensive alternative to CFL.

    nice space saver

posted by mnalis on 11/10/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:

    none really

    great peeler

posted by mnalis on 11/10/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
    - it is vertical, instead of horizontal like most of them, which is way more ergonomically suited for peeling. - the blade is very sharp - it cuts enough so peeling is easy (some other models from DX try to cut way too thin, making them practically impossi...
    Cons:
    - it is ceramic. Sot while they are sharp and stay sharp for long time, they are very rigid -- which means that dropping them t...

posted by mnalis on 07/04/2009 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
    - It is very cheap, so you can easily get one and see for yourself if a rearview mirror is something that is useful to you or not. - it will bend to some degree
    Cons:
    - it is flat mirror. So it leaves something to be desired regarding field of view. - if you don't have extended bars, you'll pr...
