I have a lightsaber in my pocket

    Pros:
Man is this thing bright. I wasn't expecting much from this little torch when I ordered it, but it's fantastic. I run it with 14500's and it's got a beautiful white light, no tint at all. It's got a wide beam but the center is also very well lit.
    Cons:
The only bad thing I have to say about this flashlight is that the threads have a tendency to get stuck when you're trying to s...

    Pros:
This is a great little torch. I bought it for my father for his upcoming overseas trip and it should be perfect. The torch is built quite well and the clip seems sturdy. I have only used rechargeable AA's in the torch so far but it's more than bright enough...
    Cons:
This torch is sharp. Everywhere. Can you remember that scene from Wayne's World where Garth falls on his keys? Well in this cas...

    Great little torch.

    Pros:
I bought this torch for my wife for xmas after she saw my TR-801 but wanted something slightly smaller. It's perfect for a pocket torch. I have compared it to my TR-801 running on 18650's and they are very similar in brightness when running on 14500's. Runn...
    Cons:
It is still quite heavy for the size of it but running on 14500's it only ever gets slightly warm. The lanyard only just fits o...

    My favourite flashlight.

    Pros:
This torch is very light, not like some of my other purchases which feel like bricks in my pocket. The button on the torch is orange, something I'd never seen before, but it glows quite nicely. The button also has the nicest feel to it of all my torches. It...
    Cons:
While the zoom feature works perfectly, I wish the reflector wasn't quite so easy to move. If you accidentally bump it, the zoo...

    Good charger.

    Pros:
This is a very handy charger. I bought it to charge my 14500 protected batteries and it does that perfectly. When charging, the lights go red. Once the batteries are charged it seems to turn off so there's no confusion as to whether your batteries are charg...
    Cons:
The build quality isn't as nice as some of my other chargers but it does what it says it will and the number of different model...

    Fantastic little batteries

posted by mrsnipey on 03/29/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Fantastic little batteries. I have 10 of them that get cycled between 4 torches in the house. Despite their small capacity they seem to go for ever. I use them in my Small Sun (sku 33708) and my wife uses them in her Uniquefire S10 (sku 30984). They charge ...
    Cons:
None really. If they came with a larger capacity that would be better but I have my 18650s for that I guess.

    My kids luv em

    Pros:
These tail caps do exactly as is says. They glow. I bought them to replace some cheap ones on some really cheap torches I bought off another online store for my children. They aren't hollow like the other tail caps I was replacing but I just turned them in...
    Cons:
They glow really brightly for about a minute and then they fade quite quickly. Not a big issue though as the kids seem to love ...

Don't buy these if you live in Australia

posted by mrsnipey on 11/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
The torch itself is quite nice. It seems to be made quite well and the light is definitely bright enough for using in the car at night time. The light gives good spread and would be perfect for reading a map, although if you're trying to read house numbers ...
    Cons:
Does not fit / charge in the cigarette lighter in my CRV. I have tried a number of things to get it to charge to no avail. I re...

Finally - a battery charger that works.

posted by mrsnipey on 11/02/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Simple to use. Just plug in and charge. I got a dud protected 18650 from another store the other day (0.7v) and the charger wouldn't charge it - like it's not supposed to.
    Cons:
The only bad thing with the charger is that the batteries have a tendency to pop out as the batteries don't quite sit properly....

    Fantastic torch

posted by mrsnipey on 10/03/2010 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 day to 1 week

    Pros:
Very good build quality. Torch has a good weight to it. Gets a little warm after being on for a while but not uncomfortable. Very bright and has a nice wide throw. It's probably not what you're after if you want a more focused beam. Single mode is good. I h...
    Cons:
Doesn't tail stand very well. It does stay upright but it's a bit wobbly. The torch is round so it can just roll off the table ...
