    Pros:
I bought 15 of these charge/discharge protective circuit boards last year and found that they all worked well. I fitted one to each battery in sets of 4 and also bought DX Kapton tape, SKU5442 to insulate them and bind the cells together. I ordered an extra...

    Very good reflector

    Pros:
A good fit to the SKU 14598 1000 lumen XMLAWT LED. I have bought this reflector before and have fitted it to both the 1000 lumen XMLAWT and the 700 lumen P7 LEDS. You need to drill or file out the central hole to fit the P7 LED. All 4 came in their own p...

    Awesome Light

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I have bought this LED light before so it was a no brainer to buy it again. Very very bright and white - I drive it at the rated 3A and fit it into a special machined mount that I made for it. See below for further info.
    Cons:
Puts out a lot of heat but this can be handled OK if you have sufficient metal to draw the heat away and dissipate it. Even so ...

    Good Batteries

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
I've bought these two times before and have encountered no problems with them. They seem to come approx. 40% charged so I've been fully charging them with the SKU12594 charger which fits them well and brings them up to full charge after a few hours (its no...
    Cons:
They come in a plastic carry box which is good to protect them during transit but are of cheap materials. The clasp was broken ...

    It's changed

posted by nevik on 08/10/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
It works as expected and was delivered in 14 days after ordering which is slightly quicker than promised. I have bought one of these before and the specs test much the same as the earlier unit. The steady low level puts 500mA through the LED and the steady...
    Cons:
The original separate mode control board made it easy to remove the mode control board and modify the functions of the unit. I ...

    Mostly OK

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
Bought 4. Three were perfect, one not so good. Fits perfectly the protected Trustfire 18650 batteries that I bought at the same time (SKU: 5790). The three good battery holders all had solder wire connections. The not so good battery holder used crim...
    Cons:
Cross your fingers that you get a solder wire connection type.

    Good glass lens

posted by nevik on 07/15/2012 Certified Owner

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:less than 1 day

    Pros:
All ten in the packet were the same. Glass clean, with no scratches and edges not sharp. I accidentally dropped one onto a lino tile floor from 1 metre and the edge chipped so they are brittle , as you would expect from glass. Measured diameter 17.95...
    Cons:
Brittle as you would expect from glass - OK if you don't drop them.

    Great

Involvement:General (knows how to use it) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
The black colour looks great and the mottled finish is very attractive. All the cutouts matched the Galaxy 10.1 tab exactly so the tablet has never had to be removed from the cover since buying it. Can be propped upright by folding its cover back and ...
    Cons:
None. It does everything it should.

    Works well

posted by nevik on 10/16/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:more than 1 month

    Pros:
Good efficiency. I measured 81-83% over an input voltage range of 6-8.4V. Measured output current is virtually constant at 2.35A over the 6-8.4V input voltage range.
    Cons:
No markings to indicate the input voltage polarity connections. Inductor is bulky and oddly positioned.

    Works Great in Sydney Australia

posted by nevik on 07/18/2011 Certified Owner

Involvement:Expert (understands the inner workings) - Ownership:1 week to 1 month

    Pros:
Works as advertised. Amazing for the price. My son-law bought something similar a few years ago for $150 and this leaves it for dead. Picks up all the digital TV stations in Sydney. The recording of TV shows works well. They are saved on the drive as .mp...
    Cons:
TV antenna provided is not very good. I'm 20km from the TV transmitters, almost direct line of sight. I could pick up 6 station...
